This job involves being emailed 3 personal and 1 vet reference from applications that have gone through the review and interview process. You would call the applicant's vet and usually one personal reference, and ask a few basic, scripted questions about the applicant and their pets. This is a very time sensitive job as we have so many dogs waiting to come in, and homes looking to adopt. We need people who can complete the two calls and fill out a brief online form for each call within three days of receiving the references from the interviewer. The volume varies depending on how many applications we have in your area come in, but normally I would estimate it would be only 2-6 calls a week per person during busy times, and depending on what area you are in. We are not reimbursing the phone calls, but since we are a non-profit corporation you can write it off on your taxes as a donation. Most checkers prefer to check within their own area code. |
