12/15/15 Another very successful adoption.....Cooper met his forever family on Sunday and it was a match made in heaven. It reaffirms why I foster these dogs and the satisfaction I get watching a dog fall in love with his new family. Cooper jumped out of my car and instantly focused on the 11 year old son who is getting him as a present from his parents. After quickly taking care of paperwork, the Dad opened up the back car door and Cooper hopped in followed by his new lifelong friend. I don't know who was more happy....Cooper or the young boy. He was kissing, licking, and wiggling with such delight that it was crystal clear this whole process is worth all the effort it took to bring this match together. I wish I could share this incredible moment with all of you who volunteer your time to make these adoptions happen (Julie, you really out did yourself this time with match making)

11/30/15 This boxer is delightful....curious, playful, and greets everybody with whole body wiggles. He is very active with my two boxers and plays very well. The first couple of days he was educated as to how to act in a pack and humping was NOT appreciated. I think he was very overwhelmed with the whole concept of being with other dogs and what was accepted behavior. He gets it now !! His other stellar qualities include, no chewing on objects, no counter surfing, quite affectionate yet gentle when seeking it and no jumping when greeting people. Going into his crate was not his favorite thing to do but he adapted quite well. He is not a barker but is a good "knock at the front door alarm" As gentle as he is I think he would be all right with little ones and he would do very well with another dog and/or active kids in his new family.
