5/24/14  Ari is an absolutely
lovable critter.  Even though he turned four years old
on 4/22, he is a grown dog with a puppy attitude.  He
is constantly using his nose to explore everything in the
house, open cupboard doors and  empty boxes with
packing material.  He is fascinated with  the
animals on the TV and sits and watches the parrot fish in
the aquarium.  His best discovery is the resident boxer
who he looks to for cues all day long ; when to eat, go out,
go to sleep, when to play and wrestle.  He MUST HAVE a
"buddy dog" who is active and enjoys being a play
partner.  He continues to respond to the hand signals
his original owner taught him and is well mannered in that
respect.  Ari would be wonderful around small kids BUT
would be making snacks of legos and little Fisher Price
people.  He tries to chew on everything that is left on
the floor for him to explore. He is very affectionate and
quite the clown. (even when he raids the bathroom trash
and shows up  chewing a discarded toothbrush and
several pieces of dental floss decorating that precious

face)

4/24/2014  Ari arrived late Thursday night and he acted like nothing abnormal was going on in his life.  He ate dinner, drank water, played with Ceasar, ran around the backyard with any hesitation.  He is an owner surrender by a kind lady who is one very unselfish and brave person.  Being over whelmed by a change in personal responsibilities and unable to have a companion dog, she surrendered Ari to SCBR to find him the home he needed.  Ari's special needs are related to the fact that he is 100% deaf.  He knows several hand signals but also relies on cues from a companion dog (when to eat, go out, someone new is in the house, it's ok to play)  Basically he is a beautiful boxer who has a mature dog presence with a puppy mind.  He is into everything !!  Very affectionate, EXTREMELY curious, and loves to play/wrestle.
