SULLY
7/16/08 - This boy is just adorable...... I must have dropped a red plum from the fridge. Ya know THOSE
BIG IN SEASON RED PLUMS!!!

I was not aware that I had run away plum until Sully man presented me with it stuffed in his mouth.
I attempted to retrieve my fruit from the beast .......... Man, this dog can move.....lol lol So, here he goes
running outside with his chops full of large plum.

I was scared he was going to swallow it n choke...(you know what they do when they have something their
not supposed to have and they see you coming.. they inhale it) so, I  got his attention n showed him his
favorite bag of treats.  Happy Hips Apple chunks with chicken strips wrapped around them.

We traded............ I got my mashed plum back n he got a treat.  whewwwwwwwwwwww

I did cut the plum up n gave him that too. well, only a little........ They are trying to kill me I know it!!  He's a
good boy:)

6/28/08 - Well, Mr.Sully man had some blood work done.....along with a urine analysis.  We sent him for
blood work because he is having some accidents in his crate. We wanted to rule out an physical reason for
the accidents.  Everything was negative.....As a matter of fact the vet commented that this older Gent's blood
work is better then his.lol lol

My updated plan is to limit his water intake in the evening.  In other words no water after 7pm.  I believe this
will help. He is a true Boxer, proud, stoic, loving, gentle.  Sully has really begun to show his playful side... his
nick name is Silly Sully..  He picks up stuffies toys , runs around with them as he flings his head to n fro :)
He appears to like cats and we know he loves other dogs. If you looking to ad that sweet couch potato to
your home this is the boy for you!

5/31/08 - Well, The Sully man has been with us for a week...  He is a charming, easy going gentleman. I was
so impressed with his easy going nature I introduced him to the resident girls within 24 hours.   I've never
introduced an adult dog this quickly.  He found his place in the pack and is very respectful of the boundaries
the girls have set for him.  an example... if the girls like to rest on the love seat, Sully keeps trying to jump up
there with them.  well, they run the roost here. They are clear that although they like him.  he not ready to
share the love seat..lol lol   He quietly turns and lays down on the dog bed and let's out a Boxer sigh......  I
did catch Talluha cleaning his face so I think he will be allowed on the furniture very soon :)

He has a growth on his elbow and has no medical need for removal. The doctor felt it was an old injury and
has no ear marks of a cancerous Bump......   His having a bit of trouble with his back legs. He wobbles at
times and looses balance.  He recovers quickly and is not in pain. He just moves right along....   The vet
feels this is most likely something neurological.  we will continue to keep an eye on this.... I have him on
supplements that do seem to help with the stiffness in his hips..... he's here a week and he's moving around
much more comfortably.

He is eating well and his coat is improving.  he will be getting medicated baths  several times weekly for a
slight skin infection....... This guy has had a rough life and is the sweetest loving creature. Another wonderful
example of the resiliency of the Boxer breed.

5/24/08 - HI, Everyone Sully has arrived after a pretty horrendous week.. Sully was abandoned and tied to
a bus stop on a major highway. This poor boy was there for 3 to 4 days before anyone reached out to help
him.
I will update a picture on him as soon as he allows himself to move more then 2 feet from me. He does not
want to lose sight of his new friend. He is lovely, kisses and clearly relieved to be here. I  WANT TO GIVE
A BIG THANK YOU TO THE GIRLS AT POODLE PALACE IN ROSELLE PARK NJ :
908-245-1966 they are a grooming salon and very active in rescue. When they heard about Sully they
insisted he be brought right in for the royal treatment. He received a double bath and tick removal. He looks
and smells much better. He is settling in nicely enjoyed his meals, treats and seems to be doing well with my
3 girls. He had a bump on his front elbow that needs to be looked at by the vet.... more to come on this
sweet gentleman.........
