| UPDATE 4/29/08 - I just wanted to give you the update on Shadow, she is fine and we are
very happy having her as part of our family. We hope you pass this on to
Sue, from the minute she jumped in the truck it was like we had her for
years. She has been so good, no training issue's she is very smart and
we feel blessed having her, she has fit in like a glove and been just
great from day one.
She keeps finding some of my son's old toys little plastic men and stuff like that so we are trying to see that she plays with her own toys. I think we have most of them located. The boys on the street and my son play with her in the yard and she also had fun at the shooting range. So, we are very happy with her and she seems very happy here with us. 4/16/08 - Shadow has become very comfortable living here with our family and all the other farm animals. She enjoys playing with us and loves to run around with our hyper Austrailian Cattle Dog. She is fast, and is the perfect playmate for other active pets. Shadow loves to be padded right along her collar, and have her ears rubbed. She is just so cute! Her fur is really silky and smooth. The spots on her feet are so unique. We have been told by family and friends that her pictures make her look alot bigger than she is. She has hardly any obedience issues, except she doesn't like come when I call, but were still working on it! Shadow would love to find a loving home that will give her ear rubbed and spoiled. Would that be your home? 2/16/08 - Shadow has been here for awhile and she is doing great. She loves to play with our youngest dog Ranger. They run around outside and seem to be working together to play tricks on the other 2 older dogs. She has also been learning from Ranger to bring small piece of wood upstairs for the wood stove. Shadow is a very smart dog and she listen very well. She enjoys being active during the day and resting up in front of the wood stove in the evening I think she is the perfect size dog. Not to big or little but just right. Shadow will make a great best friend to someone. 1/23/08 - Shadow is a 9 month old girl, all I can say is that Shadow is absolutly gorgeous! Her fur is very black with splashes of white on her chest and feet.Her eyes are the brightest gold. She is smaller than you would expect. When we first looked at her, we though that she was part beagle. We aren't sure about this, but we're pretty sure. Shadow is loving and affectionate towards the family and enjoys being with us. It is apparent that her begging for food will need some work, but she knows the line. When she is outside she tends to bark alot at whatever, it is a diminishing problem. She does stop when we tell her to. She listen well and know her commands. Her previous owners were able to teach her some very smart tricks for such a young dog. She was turned in to the rescue group because she showed dominance and aggression towards the younger children in the household when her food was around. Since she has been with us we have not seen these tendency but we feel that the difference may be that here she plays with 3 bigger dogs all day. She enjoys the other dogs very much. She is feed in her kennel and not bothered so she has not had the chance to be aggressive. We are enjoying Shadow very much and are glad to have her here as part of our family and till her perfect forever home comes along. |
