| UPDATE 12/2/08 - Just a quick update on how Sammy is doing. He's AWESOME!!! an absolute HOMERUN. Aleta and I love him so much. He is getting along just fine with his new brother Maddox and sisters Lexi and Maddison. He goes to work with me and Maddox three to four days a week and spends the other days with Aleta. He is such a mama's boy, there have been nights where I have to sleep on the couch, because he has fallen asleep next to Aleta in bed, IN MY SPOT and will not move. He and I need to work this out, he also loves to ride in the car. We are working on getting in to obedience training, however the classes are booked until after the first of the year with the gentleman we want to do it with (he is partial to Boxers) In the mean time Aleta and I have been working with him. He no longer jumps on people when greeting them and is doing wonderfully controling his hyperness. Thank You for letting us bring Sammy in to our lives and home. We LOVE him so much and we believe he knows he's found a happy home. UPDATE 11/27/08 - Sammie has done a great job adjusting to all the other dogs here.he has alot of brothers and sisters, sammie goes to work with my husband, and maddoux one of our other boxers, and on my days off he stays with me and we go on long walks hes a great dog, we sign up for classes, they start soon.he loves car rides i cant put my coat on without him sitting at the door giveing me that look, one of us stakes him every where we go. Hes awsome chouldnt ask for a better dog.He is loved everywhere we go everyone says what a beauty he is. 10/26/08 - Sammie has been adopted! 9/29/08 - Jackson moved to Boston on Saturday and Sammie moved in Sunday morning! Thank you Jeri & Gail for collaborating once again getting Sammie out of the shelter and to my home. Sammie is settling in great here in the 24 hours he's been here so far. He has met all of my dogs and some new human friends too. He is quite large and strong, but appears to be a sweet dog. He has plenty of energy and is very playful. He really would love a family that had time and a big yard for him to run around in to burn off some of it. He does get a little jumpy in the yard, but he is just trying to initiate play. He was an owner surrender to a shelter and I believe it was due to his rambunctiousness. Sammie was being fostered by a volunteer at the shelter, however they had to go out of town and had to be returned to the shelter. The shelter was full and now he is staying with me and my pack until his family finds him. Sammie is recovering from kennel cough and is finishing up some antibiotics. Once this is complete, he will be neutered. He is a great dog and I am enjoying having him here. He is a gentle giant who loves to be around you and cuddle. |
