RUX
UPDATE 9/25/08 - WOW, I can't believe that we hav had Rux for over 5 months now.  He is really a
wonderful guy!! He and my son are great partners sharing table food, toys and kisses!! My son loves to
give Rux BIG HUGS around his neck, Rux happily welcomes them, stealing some kisses from my son
with his huge tongue. Seriously, his tongue is huge, its the talk of the dog-park on some days.  Speaking
of the dog-park, boy does he love it.  He can run FOREVER!!  He has tons of energy and loves to
play.  We make sure to take him to the dog-park or for a long walk every day, this usually deters him
from getting in trouble with his counter surfing habit.  Rux sleeps in the bed with us, or sleeps in front of
the baby's crib every night, he is protective but not aggressive.  Overall, we couldn't be happier with this
boy, he is sweet and lovable, we couldn't have asked for a better match!  Thanks SCBR.

UPDATE 7/7/08 - Rux is really doing great- he has and my 14 month old son are real partners in
crime.. haha.  My son likes to feed him all his left overs from the highchair and Rux gladly takes them.
He continues to love to play ball- as much as possible, he needs a good deal of exercise; goes on a
three mile walk 2x a day and still has energy to run around the house like a maniac.  He has been
attending obediance classes and has been doing very well.  He is very smart and responds well to the
training. The only behavior problem we have encountered is his "counter surfing".  We keep him gated
in the kitchen when he is home alone.  Otherwise, we are feeling very lucky with Rux, he is such a warm
and sweet dog.  He is great with our son and has been such a wonderful addition to our family.  I really
can't say enough good stuff about him.

UPDATE 5/22/08 -   Rux has been adjusting very well in our home.  He LOVES to play ball so we try
to take him to the park everyday to play, weather permitting.  He has been getting along very well with
our one year old son, he has a little trouble differentiating the baby toys from his, but he takes
corrections very well.
He made the trip to our vet last week, he has a parasite, (starts with a G) we have been giving him the
antibiotics for about a week now.  He has been happy sleeping in our bed every night, and we keep him
in the kitchen during the day while when we go out, but he hasn't been destructive at all, so I think we
will be able to increase his boundaries in the house when he is alone. Overall, we are so pleased to have
RUX in our home, he is truly a wonderful dog!!

5/7/08 - Rux has been adopted!

4/29/08 - Rux is a real love-bug and a very impressive, gorgeous boy! He is an all-around sweet, sweet
puppy. We sometimes forget he is so young because of his build. His coat has a reddish tone and
underneath is a very muscular boxer.

He walks well on a leash, LOVES to play ball, and knows his basic commands. Sit, Lay Down, we're
working on Stay.

He is very comfortable with our family and our adores our male, Champion, who is about the same age
- they wrestle and run and wrestle some more. He seems to like every human (and dog) he meets and
has just- the-right amount of shyness with people during introductions. Rux has a lot of energy when he
is turned on to playing, but after a good tug-of-war or ball playing session, he calms right down. He's a
natural at the dog park and becomes one of the pack immediately.

He will be an amazing family member.
