ROSEMARY (Beagle/Hound Mix)
|
NOTE ** Because I am still a baby, I will only be placed in a home where someone is home often, such as
retired, work at home, work opposite shifts, stay at home parents, etc.
12/17/07 - Poor Rosemary is STILL waiting for her forever family to come along! We cannot
understand why, as she is a VERY good & sweet girl and loves everyone she meets from little ones up.
Please make Rosemary's new year a happy one & ask for her!
9/18/07 - Rosemary is still waiting for her family. She is such a good girl and she just doesn't understand
why she has to grow up without a family to love. She is working really hard to get ready for her family.
She is doing real well on the housebreaking and has even come a long way with walking on a leash. At
first she would just lay down and refuse to move when I put a leash on her but not anymore. Last
weekend we had a table set up at the fair and she went with me and greeted lots of people. It was loud
and there was a lot of strangers coming up to her but Rosemary did wonderful. A lot of dogs would
have found it frightening but not her. She even played with Duke a big boxer that recently came into
rescue. Rosemary would fit well in almost any kind of family. She is very well socialized with other dogs
and loves people so she would have no problem in a busy house. She also loves kids and is used to
being carried around. I cannot believe she has not been adopted yet. Puppies this wonderful do not
come along very often.
8/1/07 - Sage and Rosemary are both wonderful puppies. Sage is definatly the cuddler of the two while
Rosemary tends to be more adventurous. They both are learning to swim or rather they are both very
good swimmers and they are learning to enjoy the water. Sage actually enjoys it more than Rosemary. I
take them out about ten feet and let them swim to shore. Sage will stick around the edge and let me
take her out again but Rosemary needs to be coaxed back. By the end of the day they were both
playing at the edge of the pond running in the shallow water so I think they will given time learn to love
swimming. At first when I picked them up out of the water their little legs would just keep right on
swimming. It was so cute. Both Puppies are becoming well socialized with other dogs. Sage tries to get
all the other dogs here to play with her while Rosemary has taken a speicial liking to my 11 year old
boxer because he lets her crawl all over him and give him kisses. They have also met my Father's foster
boxer Cricket and love to run up to her and run away so she will chase them. They had her chasing
them around and around by the pond yesterday. Sage would try to hide in the grass and jump out when
Cricket went by. These puppies are loads of fun so get your application in now so you can be the lucky
family that takes one of these girls home.
7/2/07 - Sage and Rosemary are both wonderful puppies. They are friendly and playful and just full of
energy but when you pick them up they love to cuddle. My thirteen year old son is the one caring for
them most of the time so they are defiantly getting used to kids. Sage is the one who loves constant
attention and Rosemary is a little more adventurous. The girls share a small crate and most mornings it is
clean and dry so I think they are well on their way to being crate trained. They have been around my
dogs and are wonderful with them. They pester the bigger dogs but will stop when the older dogs have
had enough. I have fostered puppies before so I was a little worried about all the extra work when I
agreed to foster these two but I got very lucky. They are wonderful for their age. Are you the lucky
family waiting for one of these beautiful girls?
6/27/07 - Rosemary is a very cute hound mix puppy that came in with her sister Sage from a high kill
shelter in Alabama. She is very sweet & looking for her new home!
