03/08/08 - Rocky has arrived. A very special thanks to Jeri and Gail for bringing this sweet boy here
to our home. We had a pretty vicious winter storm over the weekend and I am so glad Jeri and Gail
made it safely through the storm to deliver these special needy dogs to their foster homes. Rocky was
living with Bullwinkle (Golden Retriever) prior to coming into rescue. As I understand the owner has
died and no one in the family was able to take in these two babies.
Rocky is in pretty poor shape. He is very overweight, he has growths on his tummy and under his skin.
He even has a smaill growth near his left eye. He can barely walk well. He waddles a bit and pants
very heavy. Rocky appears to not have had any exercise. There is no muscle tone to his legs or body
and his toe nails are extremely long. He desperately needs a vet's attention. I do not see him in the
best of health right now due to his weigh and skin condition. There also is a patch of some hair loss.
Again, this maybe due to his poor health. He has a hard time walking on our ceramic floor. Also once
he lays down it is a strugglg for him to stand up. He also has no strength in his back legs.
I know we have our work cut out with this boy...but I am looking forward to it. He is a real sweetie
and loves his attention and loves giving kissies. I am falling for him already and can't wait to have him in
good health soon.
