| 9/25/08 - We were finally able to integrate Rocky into the pack on Sunday!!! He's doing awesome, no fighting but a lot of playing and boxing! He's even taught Woody and Gracie how to box! Rocky and Woody are constantly sharing their bones and toys, and Woody loves to wash Rocky's ears and head. They eat together, and no one is showing any signs of food or toy aggression at all. The only problem we have is fitting all three on the bed with me! (I may have to move up to a King size!) Rocky is just a good-natured, fun-loving Boxer boy and some family is going to be very lucky to have him! 9/14/08 - Rocky arrived yesterday in his new foster home. He was very good, however of course a bit stressed out. My Lab did not take to him very well but Rocky was cool the whole time - no aggressive behavior whatsoever. He's still settling in but he appears to have a wonderful personality and is 100% boxer!! He does need to put some weight on, so we are working on that. Will post another update in a few days once he's settled in. 9/13/08 - My son, Matt and I picked up Rocky today from Roz and Betty. He is a wonderful, sweet dog. My Lab didn't like him very much, but Rocky didn't show any aggression towards him or my miniature Schnauzer at all. He was great in the car on the way home, pretty much slept all the way (he's been through a lot I'm sure!). I also brought him over to my Mom's where he had an awesome time running around her yard with her Lab and Aussie puppy. I will be posting info on him within the next day or so. It's only been a few hours, but so far so good! Thanks to Roz and Betty for making the trip a little easier. |
