PAYTON - Cocker Spaniel
8/14/08 - Payton seems to be doing well here. He loves to sit on the couch like a human, back against
the back of the couch, feet sticking out, and arms (paws and legs) on the arm rest. I'll try to get a photo
of him in this position as it is adorable. He is very cute! Payton's tongue is out constantly and we're not
really sure why. We call him snacker because we fill the dog bowl up in the morning so the dogs can eat
as they please and he snacks on it all day and so does our dog, one piece at a time. When he first
arrived he had a few accidents in the house but we think it might have been caused from all the changes
going on in his life. He LOVES a back scratch and looks forward to his evening walks. Although he
pulls on his leash a bit, nothing that couldn't be remedied with training. We love his long eye lashes! He
is very sweet and loving.

7/24/08 - Payton was surrender to a shelter when his owner was no long able to care for him. It is said
that Payton lived with cats and really liked them. Payton has made some real progress here. He is
getting along well with the two boxer girls. He enjoys playing with toys. Payton loves the dog bed and
rolls and rolls on it. He has great house manners and has had no accidents. Payton enjoys car rides and
back scratches. We had him groomed and he is looking very handsome. Payton is on a weight loss plan
that he doesn't care for but he is looking better. Payton is patiently waiting for his forever home where
he will be spoiled rotten.

7/12/08 - Payton arrived last night from a great shelter we work with. He seems to love everyone he
meets. This little chunky boy is going on a weight loss program and going to start to get the exercise he
needs. He went right into his crate without much of a fuss. He ate all is dinner and was quiet for the
night. We will update him again as we get to know him.
