NOTE ** Because I am still a baby, I will only be placed in a home where someone is home often, such as
retired, work at home, work opposite shifts, stay at home parents, etc.
UPDATE 3/9/08 - Nala continues to keep us all laughing. She is a bundle of energy. She is ready to go
walking, riding or just run laps around the back yard. Out three year old has dropped a few pounds
since she has come to our house. She has him running laps also. Nala is in her 5th week of ob training.
Her jumping on people has started to improve. She sits with no problem, and comes when called from
the yard. She is a joy.
UPDATE 2/4/08 - Nala is doing wonderful. She hasn't had any problems with house training, she is
going to the door when she wants to go out. Once outside she has a ball. One of the last storms took
down lots of tree limbs. She picks them up and runs all around the back yard. She will bring them to
you and return with them time after time.
She has realy bonded with our 20 year old Son who is home alot at this time of year due to lack of
landscaping. She is becoming his shadow.
Nala goes for her evaluation at the trainers Tue night.
UPDATE 1/28/07 - Just to let everyone know Nala arrived on Cape Cod last night. We had an 8 hour
ride home. She was a perfect rider. We stopped several times, she meet to boxers on our stops. She
greeted them as long lost friend.
She is wonderful.
Thank you to all who have taken care of her.
1/27/08 - Nala has been adopted!
1/15/08 - Nala arrived here Saturday evening, so we've had a few days to get to know her. She is a
gorgeous brindle with a white chest and white paws. Nala gets along with people of all ages and she
gets along with other dogs. We don't know if she gets along with cats though. She's all up to date on her
vaccinations and she was spayed this past Wednesday. She will have to go to the vet this coming
Monday to have her sutures removed. Nala is crate trained and will definitely benefit from going to
obedience school.
When we got Nala she came in the house and gobbled done a cup of food and then started to look for
more. After about 15 minutes we gave her another cup and she ate that too. She could use a few
pounds because she's on the thin side. We've had to start at square one with her housetraining.
Everytime she goes to the bathroom outside she gets to have a treat. Sometimes it seems as though she
actually gets it and then she does her business in the house. We know she can hold it because she
sleeps through the night with no problems.
This little girl is a big ball of energy. She's even wore out my 1 year old Boxer (Noah). Nala goes on 2
walks everyday. I take her with the other dogs when I get home in the morning and then my husband
takes her again in the evening. She walks on a leash pretty good until something catches her eye. It
could be leaf blowing down the street to a rock in the road. Whatever it is she has to check it out. More
updates to follow as we get to know her better!
