| UPDATE 11/22/08 - just wanted to let you know this past Wed was Lenny first training class. The trainer loves him!! All he does is lay down. And I do not have to tell him to do something twice. he is one of the oldest but the best! So we go every Wed I think for 10 more weeks.!! UPDATE 11/13/08 - Lenny is doing great at home.. He loves to come every where with me. my mom has a boxer and they are such good friends. They play alot together too. Lenny got very comfortable right away. He started pooping in the house if I left the house for 10 min!! My vet said that he just got worried that I was leaving him forever... I just let it go and picked it up.. But after about 2-3 weeks it has stopped. I can now go get milk up street that takes 5 minute and theres no poop. Although Lenny is with me most of the time. He loves going to the park and playing with dogs.. Its great to have such a great dog. I had my first day of training yesterday so we will see how that goes although the trainer said Lenny is a "doll".. Will kepp you updated. 10/08 - Lenny has been adopted! 9/23/08 - Lenny is just so adorable!! My 26 year old brother has been sleeping over my house just to be with Lenny!!!! They are bonding in such a cute way. When my brother leaves Lenny cries and cries. I had to call my brother back because it went over a hour. So he came right back and took Lenny for the ride with him. Its amazing how he follows him EVERYWHERE!!! Lenny is living the life of spa treatment. They said he was not trained!! He is the best trained dog ever!! My brother took him to the park and said he walked on his leash with no problem. We have him on a Merrick diet and his stool seems to be getting harder. I think he may have been ....... I dont know something negative with a crate. When he saw it he really cowered. So we are not using it. He has gone to work today with my brother and husband and they said he LOVES it!!!!!! 9/20/08 LATER: Hello!! Lenny arrived today and is a great dog. All he does is wiggles his tail. He has become very attached to my husband already. My boxer and Lenny are doing great. I think he feels at home. He hates it when we leave the room- I think he thinks we may not return. My little problem lies with my dacshund. For some reason he seems to dislike Lenny still. We have been very slow with introducing him but all hisl Lenny just snaps at Lenny.(wonderful Lenny just wags his tail. We have other dogs who come over and Rockie is okay. Yes,all 17lbs of Rockie is possessive... Other then that everything is great. Its easy keeping them separated since Rockie is so little. And we will see how he is tomorrow. 9/20/08 - Just wanted to take a quick moment to let everyone know that Lenny is an AWESOME dog. We got him around 12:00pm today and he is STILL out in the yard playing with our Maxumus. (Our dacshund is still not too thrilled. He is our challenge.) Lenny LOVES attention. He just wiggles and wiggles. He does not seemed stressed at all. Just very happy. Hes our first foster and thank goodness we have a great dog to get us started. We will send in our updates and get Lenny to a vet for his heartworm test soon. |
