KINGSTON=>
Duke
UPDATE 6/18/08 - On Friday my husband and I took home "Kingston" who had been fostered at
Stephanie's house in Brunswick. We found out that night that his name is Duke and he has been
responding to it, so he is DUKE! The first night I was very anxious, my husband who has had boxer's
his whole life, wasn't as much. At 6 am Saturday morning my boxer Blue was aching to play with Duke
so we let them out of their crates and they have not stopped playing since. We only crated the dogs the
first night and not again. We could not be happier and our other boxer Blue is in heaven. They play all
day and are new best friends. So thrilled. Thank you Second Chance Boxer.

6/13/08 - Kingston has been adopted!

6/8/08 - Kingston arrived yesterday and is adjusting very well. He loves our yard and has spent a lot of
time running around and playing with our other dogs. He is curious about everything and follows my
husband and I around wherever we go. He responded well to his crate and goes in without any
problems. No accidents in the house and no chewing either...he's been very easy so far. I think he will
be a great addition to a lucky family- his disposition is calm and sweet and he loves people & dogs. Just
a beautiful personality! One point of concern for us is his weight- his ribs and hip bones stick out and he
has a tiny waste. He eats well though and acts quite healthy so I am optimistic that with consistent
feeding he will fill out nicely. With all the excitement its been tough to get a good picture so I will try and
post some tomorrow.

6/8/08 - We had a great night. Kingston goes in his crate with no problems and he slept through the
night. I feed Kingston out in the mudroom because Bailey is quite possessive over food. The feeding
routine for our dogs is that they "sit" and "wait" until I say "ok". Last night for dinner, Kingston sat for a
second and then got up but he did wait for me to say ok which is good. This morning he had gotten the
hang of it and sat & waited on command. I think he is very trainable and I will work on him for the basic
commands. He loves to run in the yard and has a very noble gate, so cute. It should be easy to find a
forever home for him, he's such an easy dog!

6/7/08 - Our first foster came today. We have started calling him Kingston. He is a beautiful dog and
so sweet. He is very affectionate and attentive to us. Our two dogs and Kingston are getting
along very well and spent much of the day running around in the back yard. He's quite skinny
but ate all his food happily...I think with some consistent feeding he should be fine. So far, so
good! We will post some pictures tomorrow.
