KASSIE
UPDATE 7/30/08 - Well Kassie has been a great addition to our family. Her seperation anxiety is now
gone we are able to leave for most of the day and come home with her still on the couch and stretching
to get off of the couch lol like we are disturbing her. I have been home with her all of this summer and
now that she is settled in she will be fine to be home alone when i do return to work. Our family went
camping not too long ago and Kassie had a blast she was the center of attention and would even climb
into the tent and sleep with us at night under some blankets. We couldnt be more happier with her.
THANK YOU SCBR you are truley the best and i have recommended everyone looking for a boxer to
go through your adoption.

UPDATE 6/10/08 - Well Kassie's first week with us has been great. She is such a loving dog quick
learner even she learned a new trick in 1 day. Our family just loves her to pieces. Kassie still is not able
to be left alone without someone here the other day we went next door to the neighbors to go swimming
and left Kassie in the house.  She was barking and pacing like we had left the state. She had an accident
in the house. So that will take some time. I had to take Kassie to the vet yesterday her bowels were not
getting any better she has an infection and is on an antibiotic and is back on the chicken and rice diet.
Other than that she is in great spirits. I will have more updates soon.

6/5/08 - Kassie has been adopted!

5/27/08  - Kassie did great for one day gated in the kitchen.  I had to go out tonight and my neighbors
came over to get her because she was freakin out pulling down my curtains and trying to get out the
window.  I guess for now on she will need to be crated.  I am not so sure that her issues will not get
better as her whole life  she was always with someone that was home.  Maybe with time she could
come around.  But I am sure if Kassie had her way she would love to be in a home where someone is
home most of time.  She is very upset with me that I am writing this as she wanted only good things
written about her, but I told her we need to paint the correct picture so the perfect family will find her.
Her only other bad habit..  She is very gassy.  Hopefully with a better diet that will go away.  PS  my
neighbors just loved having her said she is a beautiful sweet girl that just laid with them as they sat
outside and talked.  Oh, my neighbors are afraid of dogs for them to step up and help her was just
awesome of them.

5/26/08  - Kassie continues you be such a good girl.  I now understand her barking.  She is actually
talking to you.  I must say this is probably my first foster that lets me know when she needs to go out,
eat, or needs some attention.  Once all her needs are attended to she will curl up and sleep.  She has
excellent bedroom manners.  She sleeps on her bed the whole night until you are ready to start the day.
There is no need for a crate and she has made no effort to climb on the bed but I am sure you can
break her of that habit if you want. LOL.  I left her for about half hour this weekend and she stayed in
the gated kitchen with no problem, except maybe for some barking.  This girl has really never been left
alone so this is all new to her.  She started playing with some of  her toys the other day which is a good
sign that she is settling down and feeling more comfortable here.  I think this girl will fit into any home.
The only thing that I am not sure of are cats.  I have none nor did the home she came from.  I have not
seen an aggressive bone in this girls body so I think she will tolerate them.  She had met many people
along our walks and is so friendly and keeps the jumps to a few.  A little seven year old asked to meet
her and she was great.  I just kept telling no jump and she didn't.  Her tail was wagging so much it
almost knocked her over.  Just so funny.  Please do not let Kassie stay here to long.  Lets get her home
so she can finally know who her really family is.

5/23/08 - My new foster arrived today and what a little sweetheart.  I met the owner when picking her
up and he told me she only will slept on the couch and will love everyone.  He was going to give me
some food but he came with nothing but her leash.  Will I got her home and she is acting like a perfect
girl.  She went out and did her business and I must say she had a lot of business in her.....I then made
lunch for myself and she proceeded to bark the whole time thinking that she should get something also.
I finally turned my back to her and she settled down.  When I said NO to her she thought we were
going to start playing getting down and jumping around.  I never heard a boxer bark so much.  I let her
know her boundaries and where her bed was and right now she is on her bed  sleeping.  So that is how
my first couple of hours with Kassie went.  I just hope the pictures I get up on her does her justice as
she really is a pretty girl.

5/21/08 - I will be picking up Kassie on Friday. She is being surrender because she is loved and her
owner (due to age and health reasons) cannot give her the care she needs. He told me this girl is the
sweetest thing, will love to go in the car with you, and is a couch potato. She will most likely like to
sleep with you or at least near you so hopefully you can move over and spare a girl a little room. Once
she settles in I will write more and have her pose for some photo shoot.
