1/2/08 - Jupiter is having some overly protective issues with his foster Dad. He is going to be moved to
a different foster home for now and he is not available for adoption at this time.
12/22/07 - Well its been one week with Jup and he has settled in just fine. What a big lover he is loves
to snuggle and follows me everywhere. I think a home without young children or a dominate dog would
be best. He gets a little jealous at times and likes to show penny he's the boss! Never nasty but
probably best if no other dog or a submissive one. He walks great on leash with training collar. Loves
rides in the truck! He's a very very good listener sit, down, lay,go lay down he does it all. I can't stress
enough of what a good sweet loving dog he is. More to come!
12/20/07 - Jupiter was an owner surrender to the shelter. He was surrendered due to no fault of his
own, unfortunately his family fell upon hard times and lost their home. He lived with children ages 14 &
16, he also lived with dogs, cats, birds, chicken, livestock etc. Jupiter is housebroke, crate trained and
was also trained to stay in his yard without fencing. We certainly would never recommend doing that
but given that fact Jupiter would likely train easily to invisible fencing. Jupiter was at the shelter for quite
awhile. They turned down several applications for him and finally found him what seemed like the
perfect home. Unfortunately the other dog in that home didn't like Jupiter and he was returned to the
shelter. Poor Jupiter has had a rough few months and needs a forever home to make his life complete.
12/16/07 - Jupiter is settling in fine! A good meal and a bath lots of biscuits and a nap ahhh! No
problems with my girl at all, almost like they played together before. Great dog he will find a nice home
soon i bet.
12/15/07 - Jupiter arrived today thanks to Bev,Karen and Gail! What a great dog! I was a little
nervous about intros to my female boxer Penny. But with a leap of a baby gate they made best of
buddies thank god! He is a big tall yet thin boy. All he needed was a bowl of food a bath and a nap.
He is very very well behaved listens well sits stays and lies down on command. He is very laid back
and mellow. Jupiter needs a few pounds and maybe another bath but other than that he is ready for a
forever home! More to come of big "Jup".
