UPDATE 6/13/08 - Joshka continues to do well. we recently found the local "dog spot", complete with
a pond and LOTS of dogs to run and chase and play with. she wants to swim like the retrievers, but it's
a lot more work for her than it is for them! she does well meeting other dogs, although she's a little
bossy with the smaller breeds and puppies.
she's quite a fast learner. in less than 2 weeks we've taught her how to roll over, and next we will work
on perfecting the "stay" command. i don't think it'll be too hard to do. she's a very mellow girl!
UPDATE 4/28/08 - Joshka's the sweetest girl ever! she is the perfect pet. she's very well trained, and
she really has no bad habits, except for the extra special interest she has in our cat. finally, after one
month, they can be in the same room together without her charging after the cat and cornering her! last
week we found out that she loves water, including the ocean. we've also learned that she can be out on
a hike and be off her leash without running off. very fun.
she checked out well at the vet. she's got some urinary incontinence, but the vet said that's easily cured
with a daily pill. we may try that in the future...
overall we are thrilled with our new family member!
3/29/08 - Joshka has been adopted!
3/11/08 - Joshka, What can i say about her ? She is really an all around good girl! I found out today
she loves to ride in the car (well my jeep). She really enjoys being around my dogs , which range from 6
pounds to
70 pounds.She always comes when called.She has great affection for humans. I don't think she
understands the concepts of fetch yet , but we are working on this . She does know how to sit and lay
down, with a bit of food encouragement. She is currently laying by the fireplace having a good dog
dream. I think she would love being part of someones family. There are so many things she is good at.
How could you not want to take her home!?
3/10/08 - Joshka seems to be a happy go lucky girl. She has never had a accident with house training
and enjoys other dogs. She has no problem with barking or food aggression. I think Joshka is going to
be a great family dog!
