Obiedience training has been a serious waste of my money! He's traveled to many places with me since I got him. UPDATE 10/25/08 - Jackson is doing awesome. He's been by my side for the last 30 days day and night. Tomorrow we start training as ordered. I couldnt have been better blessed with a new buddy! 9/27/08 - Jackson has been adopted! 8/16/08- Jackson arrived at my house yesterday thank you to Jeri for doing the transport. He is a beautiful flashy, brindle male. He is an owner surrender. His family was very sad to see him go, however due to allergies and other family challenges, they believed that Jackson would do best with a family that can spend more time with him (playing & training). His family reported that Jackson loves children and is a real love bug (I agree with this!). He is very strong and sometimes does not know his own strength. Because of this, he would probably do best in a home with no very small children. He knows some basic commands such as "sit", "down", etc. He pulls on the leash and will need some additional training in this area. As expected due to his age and unneutered state, he is full of energy and curious with my dogs. He is very friendly and playful. Today we were all in the yard together and the boxers were running and getting along great. Jackson certainly is paying the most attention to my younger female. I hope that he will relax and back off once he is neutered. Luckily all of my dogs are very tolerant and don't mind his extra pokes, sniffs and licks! Jackson is house-trained and crate-trained. Soon, he will be ready to go to his new home. He will make a wonderful addition to someone's family! |
