JACKIE
3/6/08 - Jackie & Dempsey need SEPARATE homes now.  As they have settled into their foster home,
it was determined they are actually not getting along.  Jackie will not stop attacking Dempsey for no
reason in the foster home.  Dempsey is very submissive to her, but she will not leave him alone.  So we
will be looking for a home for Jackie as an only dog, where Dempsey will still need a companion dog.

2/28/08 - Jackie and Dempsey are siblings.  Jackie is Dempsey's hearing as he is deaf.  They are truly in
love with each other.  If Jackie is out of Dempsey's eyesight, he goes looking for her.  They have a very
tight bond since they have been living together all their lives.  They really should be adopted together.
They sleep together, they wash each other and they basically rely on each other.  They are both "fixed".
They do well with all ages of people.  Not sure on how they do with cats as I don't have any.  They are
both house trained and Dempsey will bring you his leash if he has to go out.  They both listen very well.
Dempsey will follow hand commands but also follows Jackie and Jackie listens very well.  They are
house trained.  THey walk very well together on leashes.  Jackie goes in her kennel just fine on the other
hand Dempsey doesn't like it.  They do not sleep in their crates at night.  They sleep on their beds or the
couch with no accidents.  They prefer being out of the crates when you are gone.    They both currently
have kennel cough which is being treated.  Jackie has a urinary tract infection which is being treated.
Dempsey has an bacteria infection in his ears which is being treated.  He was tested for diabetes but
does not have it. He is currently being tested for thyroid problems.  Jackie eats and drinks normally.
Dempsey hasn't eaten that much but if I sit there he will eat.  They both have some spunk to them.  They
will chase each other around.  Yes, Dempsey is over weight but does play and walk, LOL.  Their nails
were excessively long when they came in.  We cut them down and right now they are bleeding here and
there after walks but their feet will get used to walking normally again.  They loves going for walks and
rides.  They are the sweetest dogs.  You really need to have lots of love to give as they both love it and
if you are patting one the other one will get up to get some loving too.  They love to snuggle.  That is it
for right now.  I hope someone will adopt both together as I feel they would be totally lost without each
other.

2/23/08 - Here are my little (haha) babies.  All cleaned up and exhausted (just got back from a walk).
They are dolls.  Jackie listens very well and Dempsey follows.  Dempsey does well with hand
commands (he's deaf).
