02/03/08 - Gisele has been here now for almost three day. What a little cupcake she is. She is vey
mellow for her age. Not puppy hyper at all. She must had had a decent background as far as being a
stray. She understands sit, come, laid down and she even gives paw. She is not an aggressive eater
she doesn't fight with my dogs at treat time or dinner time. She respects their space. She goes in her
crate with out a problem, even thought I know she doesn't want to. We may not be crating her
anymore anyway, she is that laid back and gets into nothing around the house.
Gisele also loves her attention. When I pet her though she flinches as though I may be trying to hit her.
I assure her I am just petting, hugging and kissing her. She then allows the touch and kisses me back
very happily. She is a loving affectionate dog. She gives the gentlest kisses ever. She is also very light
on her feet. Her built is not that of a muscular boxer. She is very thin, long legged, and has that weird
tail on her backside. She still has her dew claws also. She may have come from a backyard breeder.
But aside from all this, she is very well behaved and lovable. We just need to fatten her up and get her
to her forever home. With her awesome mannerisms and lovable ways I don't believe she'll be in foster
long. Get those apps in now. She is perfect for a large family or single person family. She is just plain
perfect!!
1/31/2008 - Our new "no name" foster has arrived. Thank you Jill for bringing this little baby to us.
As I understand, her background is limited due to her being a stray found in the southernteir of Western
NY. She is a little dog and her weight may not be accurate or even close as described above. We
used our scale at home and was she very light to pick up. Anyway, looking at her "less then perfect"
features we decided to call her Gisele after the super model Gisele Bunchen. She has exotic boxer
features and this reminded me of the gorgeous Brazilian model my husband loves so much. LOL!!!
Gisele is pretty mellow. She is checking out her new surroundings and so far has no interest in my
boxers girls for now. She loves her attention and gladly gives small kisses. She appears to be a
sweetheart and pretty calm. I will update more in a couple days as she settles in. She is a cutie pie
though. I just need to get used to that strange tail on her backside!!
