DOLLY
7/23/08 - Dolly has been a real joy to have in our home.

She absolutely loves us and we ALWAYS find her cuddled up against one of us, no matter where we are!
She is very large, she's not been weighed so a guess is about 85 pounds.  She can be very  energetic and
run like a sprinter, but overall, she is pretty relaxed.  In the morning, all she
wants to do is sleep in :-))

She is a great friend of Campeon and even preens him - his ears are always sparkling clean :-)  He loves
her.  Dolly also loves her crate and will go in of her own accord when I leave for work or errands.

Her best qualities are her strength :-)), desire to please, and true devotion.  She takes a while to warm up to
strangers and needs to be re-assured that they are okay.  She also needs some extra leash training as she is
a puller.  When she came to us she was underweight and but now she is 'strong like bull.'

Her large size gives her an intimidating appearance, but her loyalty, love and yes, fear some men, certain
strangers, and loud noises lie underneath.

6/2/08 - Powder was her given name from the shelter,  the workers changed it to Dolly.  We wondered
why…but after only 2 hours in the car with her, it is obvious.  She is simply a dollie!   Sweet and full of
kisses.  Miss Dolly adjusted to our home instantly - she loves her crate, rawhide, a rope ball with hanging
strings, the outdoors, but she especially loves her food!

She and our boxer, have had their heads in the same food bowl at the same time, they play keep-away with
their favorite rawhides and simply enjoy each other's company.  She can be energetic or chill!

Dolly is a BIG girl - her ribs still show so we are giving her an extra meal to fill her out.  In spite of her size,
she thinks she is a baby and tries to climb on our laps.  When she races around between our bushes,
inevitably a branch comes out with her and she spins around with it in her mouth! :-))

Her previous foster mom says she is good with dogs and cats and people, but afraid of children and may
snap at them.  More updates to come.

5/28/08 - Dolly was picked up as a stray with Jackson the other young white boy. She has been at a
temporary foster home all week. The foster home can not say enough good about this girl. They say she is
great with other dogs, good with cats. Wonderfully cratetrained and housebroken. She loves woman and
warms up to men. She seems frightened by young kids on her walk. Dolly is a snuggler and just wants to
please. Do you have room for this wonderful girl??
