CHLOE
11/10/07 - Little Miss Chloe is being spay on Monday and will be officially ready for adoption. She has
bonded very well with her foster family but still is unsure of new people. She gets so nervous she shakes
but is never aggressive. She continues to get along with the other dog wonderfully and Chloe is like
Cleo's shadow. Whatever Cleo does Miss Chloe does and wherever Cleo is Chloe girl is not far
behind. Chloe will make a wonderful addition to any quieter type home so she doesn't get stressed by a
lot of people coming and going. Chloe is great with other dogs and should fit nicely into a multiple dog
household. She's such a sweet little boxer girl who needs someone with a home that will fit her needs,
please give her the second chance she deserves!

8/29/07 - Chloe continues to do well at her foster home. She went to a BRAD this past weekend and
was great. Her foster family said she did wonderfully with all the dogs there (even meeting a BIG
mastiff) and enjoyed her day out. She did real well with the people too. She got to visit with Wendy and
Tish who helped with her transport to her foster home.

Chloe rides well in the car, though she is a bit nervous about getting in. Chloe met her foster families 8
year old nephew when he came over to spend the night. She was afraid of him at first after awhile she
accepted his presence. One she was relaxed he slowly went over and let Chloe sniff him. She gave him
some kisses and did real well with him. She would do nicely with older, calm dog savvy children. Chloe
is looking for a quieter type home and another dog to play with and learn from would be wonderful.

8/4/07 - Chloe is well in her foster home. She adores the other dog, Chloe runs and plays with her
foster sister a lot now. She also likes to lay with (or even on top of) Cleo.  She isn't a fan of the crate so
her foster family has been doggie proofing the house and leaving her with their dog gated off so she
doesn't have totally free run. She's been doing pretty well with that. She still has an occasional accident
or bout of puppy mischief but overall is doing well.

Chloe is still shy and sometimes get nervous and paces. Her foster family can now pet her and she is
doing much better with receiving attention. Sometimes she is afraid to come in from outside, but she is
learning that she is allowed in the house. Chloe is a super sweet little girl who will make a fine addition
to a family that is willing to give her a little extra space while she settles in and will continue to work on
socializing her.

7/17/07 - Chloe is settling in at her foster home. She is fabulous with Cleopatra her foster families dog.
Chloe is nervous and isn't sure of new  people. She is making great progress and has learned to trust
her foster family.  She plays with toys now and is eating like a champ. Her foster dad says she plays
and acts like a puppy. Big difference from the scared little girl she was when she first came into rescue.
Chloe is just ending a heat cycle, so will be spay when  it is over. She should be ready for adoption
soon. She is learning the ropes as far as housebreaking but still has an occasional accident. She will
need a family that will take things slowly with her and give her time/space to adjust.  She has not been in
contact with any children yet as her foster family doesn't have any and they have been keeping things
quiet for her to adjust. Chloe would benefit from being adopted by a family with a confident dog so she
can follow their lead. She is a super sweet girl who just needs some time to figure out how wonderful
her new life is!

7/1/07 - Chloe is doing well with her foster family. She's still extremely nervous but is slowly starting to
come around. She gets along wonderfully with Cleo and seems to gain some confidence following her
lead. Allen and Mary have been awesome with taking things slow. He's been sitting on the floor and
talking to her. A little while ago she finally came around and let him pet her for awhile. She's now eating
like a piggy so things are starting to fall into place :o) They have a hard time getting her to go outside.
Once she's finally out she plays and is fine. Poor thing has most definitely had a rough life until now.
More updates soon.

6/30/07 - Chloe arrived from an Ohio shelter today. I would like to send a big thank you to Linda for
helping get this poor scared baby safely into rescue. Our volunteers Chris and Tish also need a HUGE
thank you for holding onto Chloe for the day until her foster family got home from work. Chloe is very
scared and it is apparent that she hasn't had a good life. She was picked up as a stray so little is known
about her history. The shelter does seem to think she's had a few litters of pups. While at Tish & Chris',
Chloe met the other dogs through a gate, she was super happy to see them and wiggled her nub. Once
she arrived at her fosterhome poor Chloe went and hid in the bushes, it took a bit of effort to get her
out. It will be awhile before Chloe starts to settle in and learn how great her new life is going to be.
More updates will be coming soon!
