CHEVY
6/26/08 - Stephanie failed to mention in her update of Chevy that he is a pretty nice boy when it comes
to playing with another dog. Chevy sensed that Fenway was not only smaller, but apparently not able to
quite play in the manner that he is accustomed to. Chevy "played down" to Fenway. He didn't try to
overpower him, but did make a lot of play noises as did Fen. They rolled about the floor, he let Fenway
attack him and they just had the best time as long as they were together. This isn't just a "Chevy Thing".
Sam did it with Rose when I brought her home at 10 weeks. This is a "Boxer thing" as far as I know. I
do not know if other breeds are as considerate. Chevy plays well with other dogs!

6/24/08 - Chevy has really settled in nicely. He wants to be loved and he makes it very easy to do so.
When he gets tired he will often come by the couch and lay his head on my lap and just look up at me
with those big-brown-boxer eyes! Its been one week since his vet visit and he looks much more
comfortable. He has stopped itching his ears and his eyes are nice and clear. We've enjoyed taking care
of Chevy and hope he finds a loving home where he can be a big lap dog!

6/17/08 - Chevy is just great. He is getting used to the pack and has started to play with the other dogs.
He makes the funniest little growling noises when he plays with toys- too cute. He absolutely loves to
cuddle and be pet. I'll try sending a picture, though the pictures do not do justice to how cute he is- his
ears are so big and quizzical! I am taking him to the vet this morning to trim his nails and also check out
his eyes and ears, which seem to be bothered by some kind of allergen. The pollen is driving me nuts
this year so I know how the poor guy feels.

6/17/08 -  Chevy went to the vet today. He got his nails trimmed and the vet checked out his eyes and
ears. He said that Chevy's ears look like they have been bothering him for quite a while and they are
very stiff. He thinks it may have been environmental or possible a food allergy. I have some antibiotics
to give him and an ear solution to try and make him more comfortable. I'll take Chevy back for a
follow-up when the meds run out. I liked the vet, he is a very nice man. We'll keep an eye on Chevy.
And by the way- he did a great job in the office, even with a small dog and a puppy!
