1/21/08 - Champ has been adopted!
1/18/08 - Champion came to us last Sunday. He is a good boy just looking for love like all dogs! He
isn't much of a kisser but loves to be patted and snuggle time. He gets along fine with the other dog and
cat in the
house. Loves company and kids! He loves to take walks and be outside whenever offered. He has had
a
couple of accidents, but is for the most part house-broken. I wouldn't say that he is exactly trained to
go into the kennel, but that is where he goes to sleep at night or when nobody is home. He is very
smart. My daughter has taught him to "sing for supper" and he carries on without barking. It is hilarious!
He likes to see what is available to eat on the counter or table so who-ever gets him should keep these
areas clear! He gets scolded when he gets up there and caught at it but I think this may take a bit of
patients and work. His coat is very soft, like no other that I have felt before. He is very handsome has
beautiful brown eyes and long curly eyelashes! With obedience traing this dog will make a spectacular
family pet.
1/14/08 - Champ seems to be settling in fine with some adjustments he should get the hang of living
here. He has had some accidents the owners did say he was trained but with his moments. Cuddles
our hot dog and Champ had a little dispute over who was going to get the cookie Champ stole. He is
so strong we just threw some water on them and they split up luckily not having the computer break in
the process. They were right next to the cords of it. Today he was being patted and his feed slipped
right out from underneath him on our slippery floors =)!!
MORE INFO ON CHAMP:
Champ is an owner surrender due to a new premature baby in the house. Champ's family loved him
but they were overwhelmed with taking care of two dogs and the baby too. Champ lived with another
boxer, cats and a teenager too and was said to be great with all of them.
Transporter comments:
1/13/08 - I just got back from delivering Champ the boxer and Walter the Chihuahua(cat that barks) to
Nyla. I was told that Walter doesn't like men. I took him out of his crate to pee. He had no choice but
to be nice to me, no one else was there. Nyla showed up, and he nipped at her. I think he'll be nice to
whom ever has him, and everyone else is the enemy.
Champ on the other hand is a total sweetheart. I'm not used to Boxers that don't kiss, but he does
cuddle. He spent most of the ride with his head on my lap. His owner says he travels well, he loves to
go for rides.
Thanks to everyone that pulled together to get these guys in.
