CALLIE
***Due to my high energy, I need another dog to play with and a fenced yard to run my energy off***

Callie has been returned to SCBR, due to her high energy and her needing more training.  Her owner said that she was the "right dog at the wrong time" (house had 3 children under 4).  She has been in my home for two weeks and here is what I can share with you.  She LOVES to play - dogs, kids, toys - doesn't matter.  As for her energy, we've taken her on long walks, played out in the yard, and thrown balls in the house to burn some of it off.  My 3.5 year old boxer diffuses alot of her energy, so if you are looking to add another dog to your house, Callie would be a great addition.  When she wants to play, she wants to play and doesn't want to be ignored.  She is great with other dogs - non agressive and sweet, often licking my dogs' muzzles.  At 13 months, she is still an awkward puppy, she will be walking and not watching where she is going and slam her head into walls and doors.  She has those "ninny" moments at least once a day and cracks me up.  She whines to let you know when she has to go out.  Callie is a great eater - with some bad habits - counter surfing and getting into the trash - so you need to keep an eye on her.  She also likes to sleep on furniture which isn't allowed here, but she thinks she knows better and sneaks off to climb on a couch.  She exhibits some separation anxiety.  Now, onto her positives - my family has fallen in love with her.  She is sweet, loving, and a cuddlebug.  She is up for anything.  Kids want to wrestle and play with a dog - call Callie.  Need a loving look from a dog that will adore you - call Callie.

Callie is coming back to rescue this weekend to find another home.  She was just too much energy for her new home.  She really needs another dog to play with and a fenced yard to run her energy off.  Updates from her new foster home soon.

Well, Callie the DIVA went home to the perfect family for her!  They understand that she is the Princess of all she surveys and are willing to meet her "demands" lol!!

Her new little human sister wanted to put her in the "car right now"!!! She was a little nervous for about 5 minutes then she seemed to know they were there for her and she warmed up giving hugs to her new mom and following the little girl Sydney around in circles.  It was delightful to see.  We all had a good laugh over all of the parapranalia that Callie came with including... a rain coat, and a fuzzy winter sweater complete with booties/ mittens. Callie's new Mom said she can picture already having to buy more "outfits" for Sydney to dress Callie up!!! I know Callie found her forever home!!

Well, like any supermodel in a fur coat, Callie is a DIVA par exlance!   She is a very flashy, beautiful, SPOILED 11 month old!   My two guys were overwhelmed by all of the puppy energy at first, a
slight skirmish over toys and all seems to shake out ok.   Lucky, who is usually the aggressor in any play, has met his match!   She bumps and boxes with her front paws it is funny to see the perplexed look on Lucky's face when she KO's him.  Callie loves toys, treats and bones.  She does not have patience and expects,
NO, DEMANDS an immediate response to her needs & Desires...  She is currently enrolled in the "Trooper Gore K-9 school of good manners"  She knows sit and paw and stay (very briefly !! ) Callie is excellent at fetch and she actually RETUNS and gives up the toy!!

Callie is looking for a home where she can be kept in the manner to which she has become accustomed...she seems to love people of all ages, and other dogs.   She is a love, she enjoys a regimented schedule of feeding, walking and napping.  Other than that it's play, play and more playing!!    My husband says he likes to walk her because  "she makes him look even more handsome" (LOLLL!!) I will try to do her beauty justice with the camera today.
