BROOKLYN
UPDATE 6/20/08 - Hello, we were lucky enough to adopt a beautiful, brindle, boxer named
"Brooklyn", he is 2 years old and has been a wonderful addition to our family and from the first minute
in our home has been such a good boy, he is big, he was 67pds and is now up to 75pds, a big guy but
such a gentle giant, he became fast friends with our almost 1 year old Jack Russell/Boxer, Cash, our
little girl from Tennessee, they have such a great time playing in the pen everyday, she is as little as he is
big but she has been known to let him know there will be no picking on the "Little Girl", we cannot
thank  the SCB Group enough for helping make this dog a part of our home, our daughter Meghan has
become a volunteer and so enjoys helping with this group for these dogs and we highly indorse this
work and this group, yea to SCB

5/30/08 - Another great Boxer boy has found himself a forever home!! He is headed out tomorrow
evening. Good luck Brooklyn we will miss you tons hansom boy!!

5/26/08- Brooklyn continues to be a great dog. He is so affectionate and snuggly!!! He loves the water
we have a pond on our land and he loves to go walk around in it! We went camping this past weekend
by a river and he loved walking around in there drinking the ice cold water! We have been spending a
lot of time teaching him to come when we are outside. He has run off a few times!! I bring out some
little chunks of steak and every time he comes when called he gets a bite! He is doing really well with
that. He loves to play he is quite a jumper he loves when I hold a toy up and he can jump to get it that is
his favorite game.

Brooklyn will be great in a home that has lots of time to play and snuggle. He is great with kids, cats I
am not sure since I have none. He definitely will benefit from some obedience he is so smart and listens
great when we are in the house he just needs to learn to come outside. He is used to being kenneled
during the day and walked on a leash any other time so when he gets outside he is in another world!!!
He is also still so young and acts it too sometimes- doesn't bother me at all I love a boxers energy!! He
is patiently waiting his forever home.

5/21/08 - I picked Brooklyn up last night.  He is doing really well.  He is very very active. He will
definitely have to go to a home where he can be active and get plenty of exercise. I knew right off the
bat he would get along great with my dogs so I introduced them right away and there has not been one
incident.  I let him off his leash to play and he seems to wonder and not want to come!!  I chased him to
my neighbors house before catching him!!  So we will be working on that.  He knows all the basic
commands.  In the house he listens and comes great.  Outside he just wants to run!

Brooklyn was surrendered because his family didn't have enough time for him.  They worked long days
and Brooklyn was home alone and they knew that was no life for him.  He is a great sweet dog.  He
does very well with my small children.  He won't be around long that is for sure.  He goes to the vet
next week to get updated on shots and will be good to go after that.  Get your requests in he's a
beautiful boy.
