| 12/21/08 - Beau came home from the vet Saturday morning. He is doing great after his neuter. Very excited to see us. 12/19/08 - Beau is doing great... He has a little arthritis in his back left leg and not much muscle mass there. The vet said he will need a lot of exercise to build that muscle back. So his forever home will need to be able to facilitate that. Other than that he is a healthy happy boy. He does great with the older dogs, but I have noticed that he is a little inpatient with my 10 month old puppy. He has never done anything to her but the body language is a little more tense with the two of them. She is a little hyper! LOL. I'll keep you posted on how he does with the neuter. 12/16/08 - Beau is doing great. He is going for a check up (pre-neuter) tomorrow and his surgery is scheduled for Friday. Beau is full of kisses and loves to be loved. We were out of power for about 3 days due to the storm, we all bonded over that time. Beau has not marked in sometime. He has adjusted very well. He has taken a liking to my husband. When he is home he will follow him every where. I have attached more pictures of Beau.... Notice the tennis ball.... that thing never leaves his side.... 12/08/08 - HERE IS BEAU!!!!! I attached a picture of my Beau Beau :) Beau is doing well. I went and got a diaper type cover so Beau could run around with a little more freedom. (he had been marking) I think he enjoyed it. He loves his tennis ball, that is his toy of choice. He will drop it and push it with his nose over to your feet. He loves when you throw it in the air for him. (He always catches it). He is getting a little more comfortable with the other dogs so he is pushing his limits a little more, trying to find his place in the pack....but there haven't been any issues. He seems to like my girls better and is more cautious around my male but I think that is to be expected. Over all we are all doing great, and I think he will make a wonderful pet for any family. I will forward more pictures soon. 12-07-08 Hello everyone.....I am a new foster home that got my first foster last night, his name is Beau. He is approx. 5 years old and he is a light brindle that came from a very high kill shelter. He does extremely well in the car. The whole way home (about 1 hour from transport drop off) he just sat and snuggled and gave kisses. He is very sweet and absolutely loves my 9 year old daughter. He does not seem to have any behavior issues, he initially did well with my other dogs. For now he is on a leash in the house until he gets used my dogs and they get used to him. But I don't see that as being an issue he is good natured and easy going. He also slept through the night in a crate along side my other dogs. He does need to be neutered and I am waiting to hear back from my vet concerning that. |
