UPDATE 3/31/08 - David does not have computer access so he called me to ask me to put in his
update Baby is doing FANTASTIC! She has been to the vet and shows no sign of any heartworm. she
was recently treated for round worms but is clear of that now too.
She is getting along great in the home. She loves everyone she meets. David and Tina are thankful to
SCBR for allowing them to adopt this GEM!
UPDATE 1/19/08 - I got a call from Dave and Tina who adopted Baby last week. They are "IN LOVE"
with this little girl. She has fit into ther home very well. She seems to be a little nervous around their
grandkids but they
are taking things slowly to help her adjust. Baby has been for lots of rides in the car and went to the flea
market to meet some of their friends last weekend. She sleeps between then on the bed with her head on
the pillow. She has found her forever home
1/10/08 - Baby has been adopted! Hey Everyone, I met Dave, Baby's new daddy at the Maine border
yesterday and she was wagging her tail when they met. I felt mixed emotions of course as she tugged at
my heart strings. I told her she would have a wonderful home now! Papers signed and off they went!
Good luck Baby.
12/17/07 - The thing about Baby is she snores. She snores when she is awake she snores when shes
asleep. If shes not snoring then she is sighing or something of the sort! Her snore is small and precious.
Baby has been freezing outside because she is not use to the cold weather and where she is from she is
not used to the cold. The pictures that are shown on the website don't exactly show her cute face very
well she looks sad in these, but she isn't all she is, is a big love and can't spend a minute without you or it
will be the end of the world as we know it (at least that's what she seems to think)!
12/6/07 - Hi sorry I haven't got to update Baby lately. Baby's doing great, she is very hyper though we
try to keep it down to a minimum with the heart worms because they could get into her lungs. She is
quite sweet, but she had a food dispute with our dog Cuddles when she first arrived and bit her so she
had to get 3 staples in her head. It was no big deal though-Baby just felt like she had to get as much
food as she could. This might have happened because she didn't know when her next meal would be
even though she is in a secure home with lots of food to go around. She eats everything though! The
food bowl gets filled a lot we probably fill the bowl twice a day. I would recommend not free feeding her
as a precaution. Cuddles and her know where there stand in the food department. Baby knows how to
sit and knows what "drop it" means. Baby is just a big love bug, she will snuggle you and give you lots of
warm kisses and hugs. She thinks she is a lap dog which doesn't really work too well! Lol! The things
she enjoys most are: lying on the couch, Being with you and hogging all your attention, giving you many
kisses as long as you allow her and maybe one or two in return, walks, and last but not least playing lots
and lots of games like tug-a-war and fetch with a toy any toy preferably her favorite or tug-a war rope.
Well that's it on Baby for now more coming soon!
11/17/07 - On Tuesday Baby was at the vet for her heartworm treatment. She stayed over night and
came home Wednsday morning with 3 meds to take twice per day. She is doing quite well. We are
keeping her quiet. Baby gets kenneled whenever I leave home. She only likes to go in after a treat, tossed
inside. Can't say as I blame her, she must have been crated alot.
11/7/07 - Baby has an appointment for her heartworm treatment tomorrow morning. She is very
affectionate and seems quite happy but must be put in the kennel while I am out. I feel like she would
most likely be best placed in a home with no other dogs.
11/1/07 - Baby was a stray that the shelter in Alabama called Judy. She didn't seem to respond at all to
that name so for now we renamed her Baby. We just got in so she is still exploring the house. We got her
a dog treat from Dairy Queen and she barely tasted it. Baby knows how to sit (kinda) not sure about the
rest but she is a quick learner so far because it may take a while but she will sit. She is only 44 pounds.
She has Heartworm so we will try to get her in the vet A.S.A.P.

BABY NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Baby has heartworm and needs about 6-8 weeks of treatment and lots of crate rest before she can go to her home. Heartworm treatment is very expensive & it will cost about $500 to get her healthy and ready to be adopted. If you can help with even $5 or $10 toward her care, it will be very much appreciated!
