UPDATE 7/15/08 - Apollo is awesome and we love him very much. He is a man's dog for sure but he
likes me just as well when the head of the house is not around. His muscule tone is much better as we
take him for excersise quite a bit. He does still have a little problem with the "come" command so we
still work on that over and over again.
He really likes routine and does well when we human's stick to our schedule.
Thank you Boxer Rescue!
UPDATE 5/5/08 - It is now going on 3 months since we have had Apollo and he is doing great. He is
getting more socialized and learning his commands. He loves training and can't get enough. We are very
happy to have him as part of our family.
UPDATE 3/31/08 - Apollo had a difficult transition. He became quite wild when first moved from his
loving foster family. He has adjusted finally and i am releaved at that. Apollo is fearless and will go just
about any where-attic, basement, street! We really have to watch him and keep him at task while out
on the leash. He is very distracted. I am sure obeidience training will help.
We are all still learning about each other.
He likes to go running with my husband. Now that he has the hang of it, at first he just kept hopping up
and down. He loves the weekends when we are all together(and so do i). Still in his crate in the day but
soon we will ease him out. I know Apollo will come into his own very soon and really be the good boy i
know he can be. He's not a bad boy just a little devil sometimes.
2/24/08 - Apollo has been adopted!
2/10/08 - Apollo has been with our family for about a week now. He is doing fantastic. As far as
fitting in goes he has made the transition very well. Apollo and Stryker (my 4 y.o. fawn boxer) get
along so well, as does Apollo and my two young boys (Drew- 2 1/2 yrs, David 18 mos.). Apollo is so
patient with both of the boys and lets them do whatever they want to him. Boxers truely are very good
family dogs. Apollo has had a few accidents in the house, but now that he is becoming accustomed to
our schedule things have improved tremendously! He crates very well and he is already gaining some
weight! He is such a sweet boy and you can tell he is appreciative of having a place in our home. He is
going to make someone a fantastic companion!!
