UPDATE 4/13/07 - Well, it is now our 3 month update and things are still going very well.  We love
Diesel and he loves us.  He's being less timid around men, so I think he is past his fear.  He and Bella
are like siblings and I think they would now be lost without one another.  Diesel is up-to-date on all his
vaccinations and has even been mirco-chipped.  His is on heartworm and flea/tick medication and
ready for the spring, if we ever get one!  He will be at his last obedience class on Sunday and he is the
star pupil.  He seems to learn quickly and will do almost anything for food.  He is starting to develop a
fondness for digging however, any suggestions to quell that habit would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks again for a great companion and we'll "see" ya in 3 more months!

UPDATE 2/5/07 -  Hi!  Diesel is an amazing pup!  He settled into our home like he knew he belonged
here.  He and Bella have become the best of friends and they play games all day long.  We watch them
romp through the woods playing tag, keep-away, hide-and-go-seek, etc.  They are both exhausted by
the end of the day and snuggle together in front of the fire.
Diesel went to the vet for his booster shot and he's gained 7 lbs in a month!  His vet said he looked
perfect and fit.  We think he is going to be a big boy!  At 57 lbs and 7 months old, he still has some
growing to do.
We had a few minor problems in the beginning such as he and Bella trying to decide who was the alpha
dog.  I don't think they've settled that yet, but seem content to share the role for now.  Diesel didn't care
to be crated at night at first, but now he even chooses to go into his crate for naps.  We still have some
issues with him peeing on the floor in front of the door if you don't notice him standing there.  We're
trying to get him to ring a bell when he wants to go out like Bella does, but so far he just quietly stands
there.  He also dribbles when he gets excited (like when the kids get off the bus) not sure if we can do
anything about that except greet him outside.  He's a stubborn boy and needs constant reminders about
where to do his "potty" but he will do it correctly if he had an audience.
We haven't done his training yet as we are waiting for Petco to open!  We have taught him to sit and
he's getting better at stay.  He's pretty happy to just follow Bella around and do what she does, so that
works for us!
Well, I guess that's it.  We love our boy and he seems very happy and content.  Thanks!!

1/4/07 - Try has been adopted!

1/2/07 - Try is a 6 month old boxer baby that has been bounced around alot in his short life. A nice
lady rescued Try from one more move and called SCBR. He is a great dog that has lived with dogs,
cats and kids of all ages. He was surrendered to rescue so he could find a permant home. He has only
been here about an hour but has been great so far. He was wonderful in the car ride home and came
right in and meet the resident old lady cocker. He was great with her. Try will be going to the vets
tomorrow to be neutered and get his shots. He will then be ready for his last move to his forever home.
