3/25/07 - Hi everyone. Tootsie here, I'm sure you have been wondering what I've been up to. Well let
me tell you raising 6 puppies is no picnic. I have been a busy girl. They all have new homes now so my
foster mom says it's my turn. I was a little upset at first when the kids left the nest but I'm not any more.
My life has gotten so much easier. I'm finally getting a chance to have some "Me" time if you know
what I mean. No kids hanging off me screaming mom, mom, mom. OH but I must tell you about my
life. After the kids left home I got to relax and enjoy all the attention. I'm getting my svelt figure back,
my foster mom says I look fabulous. She took me to the Dr.'s and they did a little nip and tuck, said
something about me not having any more kids. Phewww... I also had my eyes done. (cherry eye
surgery) I told you I've been having me time. I also got a lovely massage while I was visiting this spa.
Anyway after I was home a week recovering I developed a bulge at my stitches site. Go figure mom
says I never take the easy way. They said I had a hernia, well it was back under the knife for another
little nip/tuck. I'm on the mend again and now I'm really searching for my forever home. I would like to
be your only furry friend as I have to have all the attention. I'm really not fond of any of my foster
brothers and sisters so I now just pretend they don't exist. Mom keeps them in their crates when it is
my turn for all the attention. If you want a girl that will keep you company and keep you laughing, I do
have a great sense of humor and enjoy playing. Although I'm also very happy to curl up in your lap and
cuddle. I'm also very, very fond of skin kids so I must have a family that has access to children. Mom
says I'm a really good girl and any family will be lucky to have me. If you are looking for a beautiful
cuddle muffin of a girl and don't mind the snorting and snoring that I do ( I'm really not the barbie dog

12/31/06 - Yesterday a few of the babies had little slit openings in their eyes they were just peeking out
through. This morning I went down stairs and every ones eyes are open. I'm going to take some
individual pictures of everyone tonight. We are having some fellow rescue friends over for New Years,
I'll make them hold them so I can get some good pictures. I'm sure that I'll have to beg them to hold the
pups. LOL. These babies are so round and rolly polly it is amazing they can move around at all.
Tootsie is a great mom. Watch for their picture debut......
12/21/06 - Hi all, I finally got a chance to really check everyone over today. We have 4 little girls and
2 boys. I think for names we are going to go with a few that were suggest here. The girls will be Taffy,
Truffles, Gumdrop, and Snickers. The boys. Rollo and Bazooka. They go to the vets tomorrow for a
check up and mom can have her shots. That will be a trip and a half I'm sure...... Wish us luck. I'll try
to send a couple of pictures too. I'm going to try to get some individual pictures tomorrow.
12/19/06 (12:30am) - Well, It's now 12:30am and mom is done and resting finally. She is truly
exhausted. Sadly # 6 was born dead. The cord was wrapped around and around the pup not to
mention it came out feet first, it was also the biggest of all the pups and I think it was just to big for her
to push out. After that we weren't sure, but thought there was one more. Sure enough about 20
minutes later there was another. This one I think is the runt of the litter. A little smaller than all the rest.
I'm really not sure what they are mixed with. They will change shade a little over the next couple of
days. I'll let you all know how they are doing tomorrow. Thanks for all the support.
12/18/06 (7:34pm) - Hi all, Two more pups were born so far. I think there might be one more anyway.
They are all doing well although mom is exhausted. These two are nearly all dark black. I'll let you
know if there are more.
12/18/06 (5:21pm) - Hi all, There is a break in the action so I thought I would take a minute to let
everyone know Tootsie is giving birth. So far we have 3 puppies, I'm thinking there are more. They are
adorable. Dark colored with smushy bulldog heads, but long, long tails with white tips. They also have
white marks on their faces...... I'll let you know more later.
12/12/06 - HI all, Well she has settled into her birthing unit and living it up but no labor yet. We took
her to the vets yesterday. He said any day now, he could feel two pups anyway. He thinks, like we do
that she is a purebreed bulldog. Hopefully she won't have trouble giving birth but we will keep an eye
on her and she will have a c-section if needed. Oh, we are calling her Tootsie, you know as in Tootsie
roll. ( Hee hee )those of you that have met her will understand. She is dark brindle, short and round. I
wilk keep you posted as we progress. Keep you fingers crossed for her she is a sweety.
