UPDATE 7/25/07 - Hi, Spencer is doing wonderful in our home. We just love him to pieces. He has
roam of the house now and he sleeps with the kids in there beds at night time. They just love it. He was
crates every night untill we got use to him but now it is all well. He is still not trained with the cats yet so
they sty up and he stay down. But in due time. Otherwise we are just so glad to say he is part of our
family.

UPDATE 7/14/07 - Spencer is just a joy.  What a wonderful dog.
He is doing very good.  He has lost some weight(he was pretty heavy).  He loves playing with his new
toys.
Gives boxer kisses all the time and loves everyone he meets.
We take him to the park daily and we loves it.
He is a great addition to our family.

UPDATE 6/4/07 - Hi this is the second month update on Spencer. He is doing wonderful. He just
loves everyone and gets sooo excited to see new people. His obedience is going well. We still have 6
more classes to go. He is fun and likes to play. He is a handsome healthy dog. We got so lucky when
we chose him for our family. Our children just love him. He sleeps with them at night for a while and
then we put him in his crate for the rest of the night. He does so well until the morning. We take him for
car rides that he absolutely loves. He loves to just run real fast in the back yard, he comes when called
and is very fast at learning . you can tell that he gets alot of joy out of doing a good job and being
commended for it . He is eager to please , loving and very attentinve . We are so fortuate to have him
as part of our home . Our only drawback we are still slowly trying to work on is the cats they do not
seem to be getting any better the cats now live up staires and spencer stays downstaires . We have
begun taking spencer upstairs on his leash now to try to get them uset to each other this may take time
but we are very patient and hopeful , we will keep you posted .

UPDATE 4/29/07 -  Hi Things are going very well with Spencer. He is adjusting well here in our
home. He seems as though he has been here for his whole life , he fits right in . He and the cats
however are a different story . they stay upstairs and he stays down stairs . Then everytime the cats do
sneak down they see him and run so of course he chases them and they get scared back upstairs . He
goes for his first obedience class this coming saturday and we are hopeful that we can work on this
with him . We are taking him to a one on one trianer he is supposed to be excellent and we are very
excited to see how it all works out with him . All in all he is a great dog , he is attantive , loving , eager
to please and very good at letting us know when some one is coming around , we all love him dearly
and are so glad we have him . We will keep you posted and feel free to contact us any time as well .
Thank you the deans !!!!!

3/31/07 - Spencer has been adopted!

3/12/07 - Spencer saw his favorite guy today, the Vet.  Spencer had developed an odor and we were
beginning to call him "Stinky", well, he didn't care for the name too much so he finally agreed to visit the
vet.  The problem was his anal glands were not empting as they should thru a normal bowel movement
so the Dr. emptied them and instilled an antibiotic into them.  His ears have a slight odor also so we're
treating them and also have special shampoo for a fungus on the belly.

I can't tell you how much Spencer loves riding in the car and taking walks, he thinks he should go all
the time!  We have another Grandson here now and he loves him as much as the other.  Better get that
application in soon for this boy, now that all odor problems are taken care of he won't be around long!

2/25/07 - Spencer told me I have to tell everyone that he LOVES walks!  We just got back from our
morning walk and he is so good, he heels wonderfully, doesn't even pull on the leash if he sees
something interesting.  The only bad part is we have to spell "w a l k" if we're only thinking of it or he
will think he's going.  This boy is in the prime of his age and would welcome a loving family.  Call today!

2/18/07 - Spencer has a new friend, my Grandson comes here every morning at 5:30 and is greeted by
Spencer and his "tug" rope.  He loves to play with him and lies down with him on the couch to watch
TV until time for the 5th grader to leave for school.

The cat is quite a curiosity still, he can be standing beside him not paying attention at all and the next
thing he's chasing him, probably because he sees the terrier do it.

This beautiful boy has no bad habits, does not "counter-surf" or beg for food.  He tells me when he has
to go out and if the water dish is empty...he doesn't even snore!

Keep Spencer in mind when you are looking for a playmate!

1/29/07 - We are finally seeing the true Spencer since staying with us.  He is the most gentle, loving
boy.  He will tell you when he wants something by whining, like to go out, water dish is empty or get on
the couch....move over!!!  He will take a nap in his crate (with door open) from time to time if the other
dog just happens to have his favorite spot on the couch.

If someone goes by on the road or comes to our door Spencer will gladly let us know, he has a very
masculine bark.

For a long time he was rather head shy but is getting much better about that.

The other morning we both got a shock when I was going to tie him out, as I opened the door about
15 feet away was a deer staring at us, I'm not sure Spencer knew what it was, I waited 10 minutes
before tying him out so they were in the back yard by then and he didn't take them out of his sight.
Now every morning he scopes out every inch of the yard looking for deer.

Spencer would like someone to play with him and his tug rope, don't you have a little time for him?

1/18/07 - Spencer came into rescue 1/17 as an owner surrender.  It seems that a member of the family
and Spencer did not see "eye to eye".  Because of this we would like to see him adopted into a family
with older children.

He is still a little confused and very inquisitive of the cat in our house, I'm sure they will become best of
friends.

He is a very beautiful fawn, I'm going to try him on a walk this afternoon so there will be lots more
coming on this beautiful boy, keep looking!
