SHREK
UPDATE 7/11/08 -   Shrek is doing just great.I really can't believe he's only been with us one year,it
seems like he's always been here.He seems to be becoming a little more mature in his general
habits, however he does like to knock over my garbage can.He is so good with my 3 kids and is just a
big love. He's going for an annual check up next week so I can't speak to any of that. For any food issue
owners out there I highly recommend Natural Balance. There are a few good allergen free foods in that
line as well.I almost forgot--Shrek has a younger sister now who really gives him a workout. He loves
her though, even though she harasses him like crazy!!!She's a white boxer and I love watching them
wrestle around in the backyard.Well, keep cool everyone and we'll talk again soon.

UPDATE 10/14/07 -   Hi everyone,so sorry this update is beyond late.Shrek is doing great!Whizzing
right through obedience training and I have to say I am enjoying it also...He is healthy as a horse and
getting to be almost as big as one too!!He loves to get into my chidren's toys so I've been trying to beef
up his toy box but he's not finding them as interesting. He definitely is a momma's boy and that is fine by
this momma-talk to you all next month.

UPDATE 8/23/07 -   Hi everyone!Shrek is doing well in his forever home.I think now he knows he's
staying and is just letting it all hang out.He definitely needs some obedience training which we are staring
on 9/10.He,and my kids, are learning to live together (mostly in peace and harmony). But for now he
tends to be a little rough around them.We also need to work on "mouthing" the kids and myself. Those
teeth are sharp--even if you are just playing...Does anyone have any suggestions on this? He seems
very healthy and we did adjust his food as I couldn't get him to eat what his other family was feeding
him.My kids have learned that his first choice would be to eat whatever they are walking around with!

7/22/07 - Shrek has been adopted!

7/14/07 - Shrek is settling in nicely in his new foster home.  I gave him access to 2 rooms in the house
on his first night and he was a perfect gentleman.  No accidents!!  He does have a wire crate and goes
in and out but is well behaved when I am not home .  He met the 2 resident cats and seemed interested
in them but they were not very friendly to him so we keep them separated.  We have taken several
walks and he pulls a little but I am sure with a little training he will get the hang of it.  He will sit when
you ask him to and sometimes will lay down too.  He tends to jump on adults from time to time but
played with my 2 1/2 year old nephew for a few hours today and did not jump on him once. He also
gives tons of kisses.  With a little training this boy will be a perfect addition to someones family.  Get
your applications in quick.  This handsome boy will not be around for long!!!

7/12/07 - Shrek has arrived!  He is a sweet boy with alot of energy.  I tried to get a good picture of him
but he hasn't stayed still yet.  I will try again tomorrow.   I will send another update tomorrow.
