NOTE ** Because I am still a baby, I will only be placed in a home where someone is home often, such as
retired, work at home, work opposite shifts, stay at home parents, etc.
UPDATE 1/3/07 - my dog is not a boxer but the beagle hound mix whose sister is still up for adoption
(i cant believe bc Sage is such a good good dog!). i lost the info on how to update but i wanted to let
everyone know how great she is doing.
first of all let me say that if ne one is considering adopting this type of dog be prepared for chewing lol
but we have figured out that keeping her with and ample supply of bones and rawhides she does not
chew ne thing ne more. she is just a great dog she always wants to play and does great with my 2 yr old.
she never barks EVER! lol everyone is amazed by this but she is just so well behaved. we are still
working on her jumping on people when they come over the trainer i talk to told me what to do and it
seems to be working but sometimes she forgets bc she gets soo excited! she does great in kennel and
has very little if ne seperation anxiety. shes never away from us for long she loves car trips.
she had her first long road trip this christmas to see my husbands family in hampden and got to hang out
with another beagle. though i must say that she was more happy about it then the other beagle lol the
other dog was quite a bit older lol Sage loves the snow. now its almost as deep as she is tall but she
bounds through it and likes to try to catch snow balls. she also is great at playing fetch adn frisbee. after
talking to a lot of people about her breed many think that maybe she is a bit husky or maybe german
shepard bc of her tail and she is very tall. either way no matter what she is i love having her as a part of
my family!
i apologize this update is so long but i truly am so happy that she is she with us and i think she is too.
when she is not torturing out cats (lol) she follows me around like a well a puppy lol and i love it! thank
you for giving me this opportunity to have such a great dog!
8/07 - Sage has been adopted!
8/1/07 - Sage and Rosemary are both wonderful puppies. Sage is definatly the cuddler of the two while
Rosemary tends to be more adventurous. They both are learning to swim or rather they are both very
good swimmers and they are learning to enjoy the water. Sage actually enjoys it more than Rosemary. I
take them out about ten feet and let them swim to shore. Sage will stick around the edge and let me
take her out again but Rosemary needs to be coaxed back. By the end of the day they were both
playing at the edge of the pond running in the shallow water so I think they will given time learn to love
swimming. At first when I picked them up out of the water their little legs would just keep right on
swimming. It was so cute. Both Puppies are becoming well socialized with other dogs. Sage tries to get
all the other dogs here to play with her while Rosemary has taken a speicial liking to my 11 year old
boxer because he lets her crawl all over him and give him kisses. They have also met my Father's foster
boxer Cricket and love to run up to her and run away so she will chase them. They had her chasing
them around and around by the pond yesterday. Sage would try to hide in the grass and jump out when
Cricket went by. These puppies are loads of fun so get your application in now so you can be the lucky
family that takes one of these girls home.
7/2/07 - Sage and Rosemary are both wonderful puppies. They are friendly and playful and just full of
energy but when you pick them up they love to cuddle. My thirteen year old son is the one caring for
them most of the time so they are defiantly getting used to kids. Sage is the one who loves constant
attention and Rosemary is a little more adventurous. The girls share a small crate and most mornings it is
clean and dry so I think they are well on their way to being crate trained. They have been around my
dogs and are wonderful with them. They pester the bigger dogs but will stop when the older dogs have
had enough. I have fostered puppies before so I was a little worried about all the extra work when I
agreed to foster these two but I got very lucky. They are wonderful for their age. Are you the lucky
family waiting for one of these beautiful girls?
6/27/07 - Sage is a very cute hound mix puppy that came in with her sister Rosemary from a high kill
shelter in Alabama. She is very sweet & looking for her new home!
