UPDATE 7/23/07 - Milo was fantastic on his 7-hour car trip home...sat or slept most of the way.
Our other dog, 8-year old Gidget, was not very pleased to have someone else to share her mom and
dad with! There were a few minor skirmishes in the first few days as Milo wanted to play and Gidget
was having none of it! Next, Gidget seemed to become resigned to having a new member in the
family, but deifinitely was not happy about it. Today, one week and two days later they are actually
playing together and enjoying each other!
We have taken Milo to "play group" twice and he loves romping with the other, younger dogs. He is
registered for obedience training begining 9/1. We look forward to many years with our new boy!
7/14/07 - Milo has been adopted!
7/8/07 - Milo spent the whole day on the beach today. We were with about 50 people we knew. He
did wonderful with the kids, adults, dogs, cars and cook outs. Our secluded spot we can drive on is not
so private anymore. He even swam with Leo as much as he could until he passed out under the
umbrella.
7/4/07 - He is perfection in a small package. He is the calmest, sweetest, smartest, well adjusted
puppy. He is happy doing anything you want him to do. He is quiet, not hyper in the slightest, just likes
to hang out here or there. He would be great with kids, even really small ones. Sits outside peaceful if
that is what you want him to do. Gentle to everyone. If you want to play just ask and he will crack you
up. All the crazies come out. When you are done he just lays back down. (I think he may come with
batteries, I just haven't found the switch yet) No drooling, no barking, no chewing, no mistakes in the
house, slept all night under the couch in the bed room with a gentle kiss in the morning bedside. He
knows basic commands and walks so perfectly on a leash. Has a really cute slight under-bite. (No teeth
sticking out or snorting though) Did I mention perfect. This kind of dog only comes around once
maybe twice in a life-time and you can spot him immediately. I would love him to stay, but he is meant
by doggy heaven to live with another special well deserved family.
7/3/07 - Hey everyone, no good deed goes unpunished. I just spent 3 hours driving with no AC. I have
to tell ya when the NJ Turnpike puts ya in a mood. The only cure is a sweet sweet
sweettttttttttttttttttttttttt white boxer boy. He promptly got out of the drivers van. Came over to me
smiling ear to ear and jumped up to kiss me. He greeted me like an old friend. He is dirty and stinky
and about 40 lbs. I bought some baby wipes at 7/11 in hopes to make him more presentable. he's as
cute as a button and just as happy as I am to be out of the truck. I brought him some boiled chicken
and canidae. he ate , he had some water and let's hope he will nap. we at the office :))
His aunt Roz is meeting me this evening. he will spend the night there and go to his foster mom's
Maureen tomorrow morning.- we have 10 minutes before our first session........... we are chillin in the
AC :) My little friend is passed out along side the big wing chair :))
