JUDY
NOTE ** Because I am still a baby, I will only be placed in a home where someone is home often, such as
retired, work at home, work opposite shifts, stay at home parents, etc.

UPDATE 10/18/07 -  It's time for another update....Not much to tell this time except She passed her
obedience course without any problems !!! Moxie has adapted to our lifestyles with no problems at all
!! She is just a loveable little lady and we all are really happy we found each other !!! We love our little
Boxer!!!!!
She still has lots of "puppy power" energy !! As she goes crazy when ever we come home from an
errand or what ever !! She is just a great dog to be around and we appreciate her very much.
ok thats all for now see you next update.

UPDATE 7/18/07 - Judy('s LIttle Moxie) has been adjusting quite well to our home and lifestyle with
no problems what so ever !!!She gets along great with our two girls (ages 6 and 4-1/2). They inturn
love her greatly. They never stop making sure she has had enough exercise...wheather its in the back
yard or just running around the house..ha ha She loves this tremendously !!!!
She becoming a great little lady !!! Very well behaved...she has a little chewing issue.. but being a
puppy we are sure she will hopefully outgrow this with time.
She started obiedience class 2 weeks ago and has taken to it very easily..learning commands like
"stay","leave it","sit" and "stay". She has 3 more weeks of class and I am sure she will pass with flying
colors.
Since we have had Judy ,she has gained 5 Lbs (she was a meager 32 lbs when we got her...) She has
filled out nicely and is a great looking dog... She gets compliments quite often too.
WE did take her to the Vet to get heartworm pills and a full check up... come to find out she had 2
kinds of worms (hook and whip)..and also a virus "giardra" (I know i spelled this wrong...) but with a
few shots and medications..she is now in perfect health !!!!
She is a crazy "puppy-power-filled" puppy.. But we all love her with all our hearts and feel she is a
perfect match for our family. Thanks so much !!
ps: it does still seem strange to have a boxer with it's full tail !! ha ha

UPDATE 7/20/07 - Well, here we are a month later (flew by!) updating about the newest member of
our family. Judy settled right in from the first day! Of course there was the first few nights of potty
accidents until we figured out her schedule and she figured ours, but that's been it! Judy gets along
wonderfully with our 6 and 4 yr old daughters, all the running, chasing and playing with squeeky toys,
they poop out the pup and themselves! :) Judy has some great quirky habits that we really don't mind,
like the fact that she has a real hankering for shoes. Not that she eats them, she steals them in pairs!
She'll carry one at a time over to her favorite loafing area and lay down with them. One day it'll be my
sandals, the next my husbands sneakers and the next my daughters slippers. Judy also has these funny
"puppy-power" spurts of energy, I swear she is competing with the kids "Hey ma, look what I can do!"
and she'll do a boxer puppy leap or pounce. We have also taken her down to our regular favorite Vets
for her check up. She's gained some pounds wich she really needed. We also discovered she had ring
worm and whip worm which she is on a short treatment for. Other than that, we have completly fallen
head over heels in love for this sweet little girl. Thanks to Dot and Fred for being great fosters! SCBR is
an incredible organization and we couldn't be more thrilled with our perfect match!!!

7/14/07 - Judy has been adopted!

7/1/07 - This petite girl is right full of puppy activity and is just as cute as can be. She is a 'pro' at using
the dog door, as all of the fosters that come here soon become. She will take bones and toys out, the
same as Rose, and also will bring in stuff! This morning, and I don't know who had possession of the
chair first, Clara and Judy were cuddled up together in one of the recliners! Clara doesn't usually allow
any fosters to get too personal. It is nice that she is beyond the puppy "chewing" stage and she restricts
her gnawing to bones, which she thoroughly enjoys. We are still having our little conflicts over food: she
wants table food and only gets kibble. She will eventually learn. When she curls up to sleep she is the
tiniest little ball of brindle. She doesn't take any room at all! So cute! Another ten days and she gets to
have her spay surgery and then will be good to go.

6/26/07 - Item 1. Judy is house trained! She is very willing to use the dog door and go do her business
outside. Very clean little girl.

Item 2. She has had some training! She comes, sits in front of you and wants to be petted. She doesn't
normally jump up on people, but will put the paws on you after she sits. This pup was someones well
loved pet. She does "shrink" when told "NO", so I think some of her "training" was not of the kindest
type. She also is afraid to be taken by the collar, at times. No specific reasoning for this tho'. I am
pretty sure that kindness will cure a lot of her ills.

6/25/07 - This morning has been very busy for this little girl.  She has been to the vet and weighs 34.5
lbs. and is heartworm negative!  Yea!!  She also has an appointment for her spay in July.  She also went
visiting where Fred used to work.  She was very well  behaved, met a little girl and loved her!  The
father of the child
fell in love!  He would have taken her right then and there!  Instead, he  got a card and instructions to fill
out an application and such. Everyone that met her, loved her. She walks well on leash, was not
bothered by heavy equipment and trucks, sat to be petted and was a real lady! I think she is
housebroken.  The only accident she has had, so far, was probably my fault.

6/24/07 - Judy arrived last night, late, as a stray from a high kill shelter in Alabama. She is a petite little
thing, and has her dew claws and tail. I have never had a long tailed boxer in the house before. Judy has
met the "Log Cabin crew" through the crate and appears to be comfortable with that. She has growled
a few times at one or  another, but that will probably cease when everyone gets fully acquainted. She
appears to be sort of short-legged, but at only about 8? months, she must have some growing to do.
We shall see what the vet says. She needs to be Heartworm tested and spayed. She did come with a
choke chain collar that would hold a 200 lb. beast. That has been replaced with a light weight nylon
collar and she appears to be much more comfortable. She loves to be petted! Judy ate a good
breakfast, went out on leash to potty and is now crated again. The Milkbone that I gave her last night is
still untouched. I don't believe she knows what to do with it!
