UPDATE 1/19/08 - Jack is still doing great. It's hard to believe we have only had him for two months
because he has really become part of the family. He is a kissy monster! Sometimes we just let him kiss
us as much as he wants and count the kisses in a row, 18, 19, 20 and then break into laughter. I think
23 is the record! He likes to play tug of war with our Staffy Libby and then curl up in a sun beam with
her. He has gained a few pounds and is looking good.
UPDATE 12/16/07 - Jack has adapted well to his new family and our early rise schedule. At first he
would get up two to three times through the night to make sure we were still here and then not want to
get up in the morning. Now he doesn't get up as often through the night (sometimes not at all) and then
when we get up he gets up, goes out, eats and then goes back to bed with our son :) He only had a few
accidents the first week and now we can read him well. He is great on the leash and we are working on
getting him to come to his name. He has started to look at me when I call his name. of course he is
looking at the training treat I am holding, but he is getting it. Even if he sleeps with you all night he
wiggles around when he sees you in the morning. He gets cold out on walks so I have ordered him a
coat. He does NOT like this snow we have now. He is teaching us not to leave food out on the
counter, and we are teaching him not to counter surf. Jack and our Staffy tear around the house
playing. Everything seems to be going better than I expected so far.
Thank you second chance!
11/16/07 - Jack has been adopted!
11/5/07 - Hi everyone! My name is Jack and I just arrived here at my foster home on Friday evening.
I like the family and two of the other boxers, and ……..hhhmmmm the less said about the 3rd dog the
better. My mama taught me if I can’t say anything nice, then to say nothing at all! But…..about
me……I am cute, happy, cuddly, playful, have a healthy appetite and I’m a good kisser! I’m
a bit on the small size but I have a big heart with lots of love to give……please consider giving me my
forever home.
