2/19/07 - Hope is such a sweet girl. She came from a puppy mill in PA that was done with breeding
her and had no more use for her. She has already been to the vets and been spayed and checked over.
She has some loss of eye sight the vet is not sure what caused it, she walks into somethings but she can
see some. She was such a pitiful site when we got her, scared of everything just wanting to be near
people. She was kept in a crate for way to long, when she is out even outside she just walks in a circle.
It breaks my heart to think of the conditions she must have been kept in. She had burns all over her feet
from standing in her own urine and poop. House training her is a challenge in cold weather due to the
fact that she hates the cold!!! But she is learning. She will not take a treat out of your hand you have to
lay it on the ground in front of her and then it takes her a few minutes before she'll eat it. She is great
with kids actually loves them...When my kids walk into the room she is all wiggles. Shes great with
other dogs and the cat. What more can you ask for, with some gentle training and lots of love she will
be the perfect dog for any family!!! If you think you'd be the right family to help Hope live out the rest
