HATTIE
5/29/07 - Hattie is going to stay with her foster family as a permanent foster, for as long as she has.

5/29/07 - We absolutely love Hattie. My husband affectionately refers to her as Hatitosis. Her breath
can clear out a room to be sure. Even my kids are used to it, but company ,not so much. LOL
She adores my husband and spends alot of time whereever he is. I was wondering if you guys think she
should just spend her last days here instead of uprooting her again. We would be happy to have her ,
and she seems very happy as well. I would not hesitate to spoil her and make her as comfy as possible.

5/27/07 - Hattie went the vet on 5/22 & he said she is full of cancer and there is nothing we can do for
her at this point but keep her happy and comfortable until the end.  He said she does not have very long
to live and gave her six months, tops.  She is moving to her long term foster home tomorrow.

5/18/07 - Hattie arrived yesterday after a long trip from NJ. Poor Hattie was dumped at her age, found
tied out in front of the shelter. She is a sweet girl. She rode like a champ. Loved everyone she met
along the way. She had nothing but kisses for my daughter when she switched cars. Thanks to Grace
and her family who brought her all the way from NJ to ME. Hattie made a quick stop at my mom's
house where she showed everyone how smart she was. Not only did she sit for a treat but she gave
both paws. She took the treat so gentle. Hattie finally made it here, ate a good dinner and went to sleep
in her crate without one peep. Hattie has some health issues, she has a large tumor on one of her back
feet. She has a few other bumps that need to be looked at as well. Her teeth are a mess and she is a
little skinny. It is not a lack of food skinny but an unhealthy skinny. I don't think she hears well at all and
she definitely has the start of glucoma. Hattie will be meeting Dr. Matt on Tuesday and we will go from
there. She needs a home to live out the last of her life how ever long it is. This old girl has some spunk,
loves to run around and her tail never stops. Does anyone have an extra dog bed for her, as that is what
she likes. More updates after the vets.
