9/10/07 - Grommit has been here for a little bit now and as we get to know her better she is a keeper.
Grommit takes time to warm up to people, but once she does, she trusts fully. Grommit loves me and
will let me do anything to her, she listens well, comes when I call etc. Grommit is great with my teenage
kids, but little ones make her nervous. So no young kids for her. Grommit also loves to sleep on the
bed at night and does not more a muscle. She is such a good bed sharer. Grommit also does well with
the 5 big dogs here and has no fear of them. She does have some accidents in the house, especially if
the weather is not perfect. Grommit LOVES to ride in the car and thinks she is special when she gets to
go, she is great on a leash too. So if you have a warm lap, no little kids and not to much noise and
activity she might be the girl for you. She also needs someone that will go slow and give her time to
warm up. Get your apps in today.
8/28/07 - Grommit arrived on Saturday 8/25. She came to me from a nice shelter in NH. Seems
Grommits owner had her bred. When the puppies died and she need an emergency c-section her
owners did not want to pay for it. So they turned her over to the vet to be PTS. The nice vet did the
c-section and spay Grommit at the same time. He then turned her over to the shelter. Grommit could
not handle the noise and coming and goings at the shelter. So she came to us. Grommit is a very scared,
shy little girl but she is getting better everyday. I'm not sure that she is feeling great yet. So we will
update you in a few more days.
