GAYNES
4/18/07 - Gaynes really needs to find his home.  I want you to know that Gaynes would be fine with kids
of any age-with supervision-my only concern was because  of his size and his rambunctious personality,
never aggressive, just happy go  lucky and he's a BIG boy-but with the proper supervision, he would love
to have  some kids around!

3/26/07 - Hi, it's Gaynes ..........I've been at my foster mom's house now for awhile (since January 24th!)
and I just can't understand why.  Have you seen my picture?  Because I'm not one to brag but several
people who have met me told FM (foster mom) that I am quite handsome.  So if everyone is saying it,
then it has to be true! And I am also very funny, goofy is the word FM keeps saying.   I don't think I'm
doing anything silly, I'm just being a typical baby boxer boy.......full of vim and vigor!  I have a lot of
energy and would love to find a home where we can play ball in the yard, or take nice walks, or go for
rides in the car........I would just be so very excited to have a family of my very own, that it wouldn't
matter WHAT we did......as long as we did it together.  :-)  So even though I'm getting the window dirty,
I'll have my nose pressed to the glass waiting to see you pull up and take me home!  HURRY!

3/6/07 - Gaynes here, I just wanted to write and find out why I'm not adopted yet!  I'm a young guy
(good looking too) looking to settle in and get cozy with my new family.   I love attention and can be the
best boy ever!  I need the right family to give me that chance, and I was hoping if you are reading this it
could be you!  Don't get me wrong I LOVE my foster mom, she's great!  But I know I'm just here to visit
until my forever people come along.  Please get your application in and call about me.  With the nicer
weather coming, I can't wait to get outside and play with you.  Hope to hear from you soon. :)

2/22/07 - Hi, I thought I would send a quick update because I want everyone to know what a GREAT
boy Gaynes is. Sure I'm with him every day and know this but all the people out there reading this do not.

Gaynes is a very young boy and will greatly benefit from obedience classes as he is very smart and very
quick to please.  He is a big boy but that just makes more of him to love.  :)  I would hurry up and inquire
about this cutie because I only see him becoming more and more of a catch.  You wouldn't want to miss
out....would you?!?!?!

2/14/07 - Gaynes is a wonderfully sweet boy.  He has a lot of the rambunctious puppy play to him that
definitely requires obedience classes.  But you can't be mad at him or yell at him because he looks at you
with that too cute for words mug!  Gaynes does fine in his crate, is housetrained (sometimes he just can't
make it out the door, but he knows better) and loves people.  On the other hand, he does not seem to
like other dogs, he might have never been socialized with them but for now I'm recommending a house
with no other pets.  Cats and small children under 4 also should be a no just because of his size and
strength.  I don't believe Gaynes has a mean bone in his body but just was never worked with. He does
know sit, come and down, so he has potential.  He has a great energy level but isn't hyper.  He loves to
play with his toys, but will nibble on the woodwork if you aren't looking!  LOL So this boy is not for
someone who wants a couch potato.  He is a young strapping boy looking for activity and the chance to
show off how smart he is.  He will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants to work and
mold this young boy into a wonderful young man.  :)

1/26/07 - Today is Friday and Gaynes has been here for two nights now. He is just the best boy!!! He is
happy and playful and very cooperative-loves his food, loves his humans, loves to go for a walk and is
VERY well-behaved. Sometimes you think the first day may just be the honeymoon period when it goes
so well-but not the case with this sweet boy. He is what he seems to be so far :)) He has slept all night
both nights he has been here and he even waits very patiently in the morning for his foster mom to have
her first cup of coffee before going outside-he's a very smart boy!!

1/24/07 - Liz brought Gaynes earlier tonight. He is a VERY sweet, VERY handsome young man who has
good leash manners and appears to be house-trained AND crate-trained. He got the lay of the land, went
outside to potty and is now resting very peacefully in the crate, snoring away.He is a very calm boy for
one so young.  He is recouperating from his neuter and he's been through a very busy couple of days, so
I'm guessing he's enjoying the rest and quiet. He is a special boy and I think he will be scooped up very
quickly!  I will do some very slow and gentle intros to my guys over the weekend, after he has had a few
days to decompress and settle in.  I have always felt that it is such a credit to the stability and character of
these dogs that, no matter what life hands them, they somehow manage to regroup and come out the
other end of it all, happy and intact emotionally-something I am not sure that I could do.  I am hoping he
has a peaceful, restful night and can begin the start to his new life. Welcome to SCBR, Gaynes!
