FINNERTY (Finn)
6/14/07 - My Finn Man is awesome.  He's the best foster I've ever had besides good ol Carson.  We
have been enjoying him so much. He's very smart and funny.  If he wants to play and you are ignoring
him he'll steal something of yours and prance by you until you notice him and what he has. As soon as
you move or "yell" he runs because he wants you to follow him. Then he drops it and cuddles your leg.
He loves his chew toys and when he's in the crate he gets a nylabone.  He does like to chew so we just
redirect him to his toys. He's doing really well because I have a 3 year old with lots of stuffed toys and
Finn does not touch them. He tried once and Logan told him "No Finn -be a good boy and leave Elmo
alone-he's mine."

He has great potty habits. No accidents. He is almost like a camel. Yesterday, I took him out to go
potty and he found his tree and we stood there for 4 minutes.  I'm not kidding - 4 minutes.  Then he
went again after our walk.  He holds his urine well. It wasn't like he hadn't been out -he was out 3 hours
before!!!!
He and my female have become buddies and play and snuggle. Sometimes they play very hard and she
gets ticked off, but I can give them a big No and "the look" and the ears go back and they plopp
themseleves down.

I love this dog and he needs a family that will give him love and attention on a consistent basis. He's
very flexible with my family coming and going in and out etc.... but he truly needs to know he's safe and
loved.
The pictures don't do him justice - he's so cute, but the tongue is always out when we are outside!!!!
Call soon about Finnerty Sean!!!!!

6/2/07- Finnerty has been here since Tuesday and from the first moment he came into the house he has
behaved as if this is home.  He is a very handsome fawn, with black mask and his front paws have
white long socks.  My son thought that Finn was our female Riley,  as they really look alike. Finn gets
along with my bossy female and all the dogs in the neighborhood.  He has wiggles and licks for
everyone he meets.  The only time he's ever barked is when my husband startled him late one night.  Up
until that point I didn't think he knew how to bark.  By-the-way, it's a really cute bark!!!Finn loves
children and is especially fond of my daughter.  Whenever he hears her voice he has to be with her.  He
actually sleeps in her room and cannot be coaxed to sleep in ours.  He loves her.  He stays right next to
her while doing homework or when she's watching tv.  He's a huge Grey's Anatomy fan.!!! Finn has
very good manners.  He sits, stays, and downs very happily and totally on command.  He doesn't
counter surf or beg at the table.  He plays really well with the toys and will sit with a rope or bone in his
mouth and try to hand it to you to play with him.  He's not a fan of balls yet - probably because no one
ever threw one for him before. He loves his crate during the day when we are gone and is very happy
to see us when we get home. He loves walking and running.  If  you run with him he goes at your pace
and if you slow down or stop he does the same.  I am amazed by this as my female will keep going.
Finn was in the shelter for 4 months - way tooooo long for a handsome Boxer or any Boxer for that
matter.  He needs a home that will love him and play with him and let him love them back.  Please get
your application in soon because he is just too good to be true.

P.S. I'm afraid to say this, but we have had No Accidents which is probably a first for me as a foster
home.  Shhhhhh keep it a secret for a while.
