COOKIE - Chocolate Lab Mix
|
NOTE ** Because I am still a baby, I will only be placed in a home where someone is home often, such as
retired, work at home, work opposite shifts, stay at home parents, etc.
UPDATE 1/19/08 - We cannot say enough wonderful things about Cookie. The personality we
glimpsed when we visited her has blossomed as she matures. She has completely become a member of
the family. While still full of young dog energy, she is sweet and loving, easily socialized with people and
dogs and has responded to training quite well. She is very intelligent. We go for a run each morning, and
she sits down right at the spot where she knows I take her leash off every day for some free time. Then
on the way out (part of our regular run is on an old woods road), she sits before I command at the spot
where her leash goes back on. For an Alabama dog, we also marvel at her enjoyment in the snow. We
have spent a good deal of time wandering the woods on snowshoes this winter, and she likes to go out
and play with the kids in the snow. She has developed a bit of an undercoat.
She also remains in wonderful health.
Thanks again so much for allowing us to adopt her!
6/24/07 - Cookie arrived the other day from a high kill shelter. She is a sweet puppy looking for a place
to call home.
