NOTE ** Because I am still a baby, I will only be placed in a home where someone is home often, such as
retired, work at home, work opposite shifts, stay at home parents, etc.
UPDATE 7/16/08 - It's been one year since Coco joined our family! She's a great addition! She is
a happy little dog who loves everyone and just wants to have fun. I wanted a companion to go for
walks and that's what Coco is for me. I was having issues with blood pressure but since I got Coco I
walk every day, I've lost about 15 pounds and blood pressure is normal - no meds! This winter when
it was cold and the wind was blowing she got me outdoors when normally I would not have ventured
out. She accepts no excuses. We have settled in a routine of a long morning walk, she likes to lay on
our porch in the afternoons enjoying the view and the breeze and we take a couple shorter walks in
afternoon and evening. We got a nice log home style doghouse for her but she prefers to hang around
on our porch. She's happiest there. She is a wonderful dog!
UPDATE 9/21/07 - Coco is doing great! She's a sweet dog and we enjoy her greatly!
We do long walks every day! She's been camping with us, been to our family reunion and is a great
traveling companion. She loves everyone she meets and is great with everyone even kids! She did
come hide under my chair when 2.5 year old twin boys were playing with her - she met her match with
them! But she was great with them.
We have almost completed our obedience classes - one week to go and we are doing well. We have
both learned a lot.
Her bladder leakage has pretty much cleared up with the medication the vet gave her. She had one spill
last week but it was the first in a while.
Thanks so much!
UPDATE 7/25/07 - Hi everyone!
I'm a new Mom too! My husband and I adopted Coco on Saturday and she is doing great. She is
such a sweet little dog.
It reminds me a lot of taking care of a toddler. I have to keep everything picked up - she doesn't miss a
thing. I had to put my stuffed toys away - she would grab them and run in circles with them so I
couldn't get them from her. I'm learning....
We take long walks twice a day and she enjoys visiting my neighbors' dogs and her duck pond.
Luckily I have a big long hallway and big rooms for her to run off her puppy energy - we play fetch a
lot. I'm getting lots of exercise and I sleep well at night.
She is bored when I put her on her run. She barks for attention when she is out there and won't play
with her toys out there. Of course the two cats are around the yard and that contributes to her
barking. They are a bit depressed but starting to come a little closer to her.
I took her took visit family yesterday - my 91 year old Dad. She was extremely well behaved at his
house and they really liked each other. We will go next week again and stay overnight now that she
passed her test run with flying colors.
7/22/07 - Coco has been adopted!
6/24/07 - Miss Coco is doing great. She is learning how to play fetch with me. It took awhile to get her
to run after any toys. She is doing good in the house, she is house trained and is calmer in the evenings
when we are all relaxing. She has grown very little for a puppy. I think she may be almost full grown, at
25 lbs. Her attitude is great towards everyone. She has done great with all dogs and people that she has
meet. Coco will make a fantastic friend for the right people. The pictures do not do her cuteness justice.
5/28/07 - Coco is doing great here. She loves to play but luckily so does Smokie. They are playing
great together. We have been non stop action for days. All the dogs and I are very tired right now.
Coco's manners are great she listens well and has a gentle way about her. Everyone who has seen her
thinks she is the cutest thing. I feel that Coco would do great with a family that will play with her and
walk her to help with all her puppy energy. She would do the best with a dog her age and size to play
with. She is affectionate to the other dogs and gives alot of kisses. She has had no accidents in the
house and sleeps well at night. I think she weights more like 25-30 pounds.
5/24/07 - Coco is an owner surrender as she was too rough with the young kids in the home. Here is
some info from her owner about her: She is 6 months old, spayed, and has had all of her shots.
Weighs somewhere between 15-20 pounds.Very soft thick fur but doesn’t shed much.
Supposedly a Yorkie/Pomeranian mix, came from the south. She is good with adults and other puppies
(as witnessed at obedience training which she went through in March/April), not good with small
children. Lots of energy – needs to be walked often or have a nice big area to run in. Loves snow.
She is crate trained for sleeping. Goes to bed around 8pm (gets wild if not) and up around 7am,
sometimes needs to go out in middle of night. Pretty good at house training but has occasional accidents
if you don’t let her out immediately, so she is crated during times we are not at home, but usually
goes with us. Likes car rides and is very good in the car.
Updates soon from her foster home.
