CINDY
UPDATE 11/4/07 -   WOW!  I thought that I had updated Cindy at her second month anniversary
with us.  I guess that it didn't go through.  So sorry for anyone that keeps checking on how she is doing.
 I apologize for that.
Cindy is Awesome.  She got dressed up for Halloween with our other Boxer Foster.  She was a
ballerina and sported her tutu wonderfully.  She has been very good with meeting people that come to
the house and she is used to the people who frequent here often.  The people she is used to, she
LOVES with all of her Boxer kisses and wiggles.  She has settled in with our dog and cat seamlessly.
My husband and I still can't believe how well she just seemed to adjust and fit perfectly here. She truly
was what our male boxer needed.  They are truly pals and it is a joy to see them together whether they
are sleeping in a boxer heap together or playing with a rope toy.
She goes for walks but still pulls when others approach us.  Her commands are excellent and she is a
really good listener.  She has managed to be trained to stay in our yard and often goes out without her
leash.  She loves to play and amuses herself for hours in the house, she has tons of energy.  Rides are
her favorite, she gets all silly when you mention the word, she is super in the car, she just settles down
and falls asleep.
We are forever grateful to have her and I hope that her previous family doesn't miss her too much.

UPDATE 7/21/07 - Hey yall!  Cindy here.  Boy have I been having a ball with my new family.  They
have another dog that looks sorta like me (Foster)but much bigger and a cat named Tucker.  I have
been doing great here.  I think that I have even put on some healthy weight.
I have been learning to stay in my new yard without a leash and we go for a couple walks a day for me
to get some excercise.  I am a little leary when meeting new people but once I get to know everyone I
give lots of kisses.  I go in my crate when both my parents are not around and I haven't had any
accidents in the house.  I am being very respectful of things that I am not supposed to chew on and I
have lots of toys and bones to play with here.  I go in the car alot and I am always on my best behavior.
Usually I just lay down in the back seat and chill out.
My owner tells me that I am going to behavior class starting in August.  I am not sure that I need it
though because I am very good at sitting and I am getting better walking on leash every day.  We have
practiced something called "come" and "stay" and I am picking up on these new commands like a
champ.  I am just a little worried about all those new people and other dogs in the class.  I hope that I
don't pull on the leash too much, my owner may get mad.  My owners seem to be very pleased with me
because we snuggle alot and I am even allowed on the bed to sleep sometimes.  They tell me how cute
I am all the time and I love them back very much.

6/24/07 - Cindy has been adopted!

5/27/07 - Cindy has been here over week now. She has really calmed down quite a bit. I believe we
owe this to her nightly runs in the park. She truly is a puppy and has the energy to prove it. My boxer,
Athena, makes Cindy chase her in the park. The two girls run and run for over an hour. Cindy is pretty
good on and off the leash. She actually prances on the leash and does not pull the leash. Off the leash
she listens to her commands and always comes when called. She has really turned out to be a
sweetheart. She loves her stuffed toys and plays for hours with them. She'll roll around them and toss
them in the air. She is a doll. We don't even crate her anymore. She has mellowed out that much. When
we go out for a while, she is fine in the house, never a
surprise, nor does she touch anything. We really love this wiggly, kissy, furball of love. Cindy needs a
family or person who will give her the time and  patience to run and play. She is full of great energy and
a strong zest for life. Her new owner must possess the same qualities for life and we would then have
the perfect match!!!

5/26/07 - Cindy has been with us for over a week and has settled down quite a bit. She gets her nightly
runs in the park with my two dogs. They run and run until they are exhusted. These runs mellow out her
puppy energy. She needs time and patience from her family to train her right. We are working on her to
stop jumping on people. She listens to basic commands and no longer needs to be crated. Is the perfect
family out there ready to train and love this wiggly and lovable pet? Were have fallen in love with her
since she arrived and she is a great joy to foster.

05/15/07 - Cindy arrived here on Mother's Day thanks to Jeri for picking her up and meeting me half
way to get her over to my place. She is an owner surrender and the family felt that her energy was too
much for them. Cindy was a little snippy when we first met her, but I feel it was stress and being a little
scared causing her to be that way . We put her in the crate once we arrived home, with little effort and
she settled down once inside. She was very jumpy and hyper with lots of puppy energy at first. She just
needs time to play and run. We walked her every night so far and this has helped settle her down quite
a bit. She is young and needs to burn that puppy energy off. She is doing great here and I feel she needs
the right amount of attention and training to be the perfect pet. So far we are falling in love with this little
playful bug. I"ll update more in a couple of days.
