UPDATE 11/25/07 - Capone is doing great, he is such a happy and loving boy. It did not take long
for him to make himself at home. He and our other boxer Bailey became best friends in no time. We are
still trying to get some weight on him though. I brought him to meet his new vet and the Dr. said
everything looked good besides needing to gain about 10lbs.
He is taking his obedience classes and is a quick learner. There is only one other dog in his class, a 7
month old boxer, so Capone really enjoys going to class and playing.
10/26/07 - Capone has been adopted!
9/29/07 - Capone is a 3 year old owner surrender to one of our favorite local shelters. The shelter
called to say he just couldn't handle the stress of being there and wanted to know if we would come
and get him. Of course we said yes! He was very nervous when we went to get him at the shelter but
once we got outside and then home he was a different dog. Capone is a skinny 52lbs, his foster home
is working on putting some much needed meat on his bones. I'm not sure how long he was at the
shelter, maybe the stress of being so scared made him lose weight. The vets took him in the next day to
get his neuter done and bring him up to date on shots. He tested negative for heartworm and lyme.
Capone is cratetrained and getting along fine with the other boxer in his foster home. The previous
owners told the shelter that he could not be placed in a home with cats. Capone has reportedly live
with children and seems to really like them although he does want to play rough. I'm sure his pictures
won't do him justice this is one beautiful boy. If you are looking for a friendly energetic young boxer
Capone is your boy. Get those applications in fast I'm sure he won't be around for long!
