3/2/07 - Every day I have this little girl, I find out what a gem she is. This girl, once she knows your
schedule, will fit so nicely into your life. She will wait patiently for you to come home from work and
does not need to be crated or gated. She loves to go for rides in the car, she can all most sleep
through the night but being that she is still young, need to go out between 5am-6am. If it is a weekend
she goes out quickly does what needs to be done and then right back in and back to bed. She loves to
play and if you have the time she would love you to take part, but if you have things you need to do she
will play by herself. If you have a fenced in yard she will love being out there in any weather (except for
maybe rain). Another cute trait. She is the neatest eater I have had. Her bowl when finished looks
like it just came out of the dishwasher. Nothing splashed or left on the floor. Today we had service
people in and out of the house and she was great. I do not think she knows what a doorbell is because
when it rings she does nothing, but once I go to the door she is right there and will bark but the tail is
going a mile a minute. Once they are in she is all over them. She will need some training on not jumping
on people. She just loves to be patted. Once they have been there for a few minutes the jumping stops
and she just follows everyone around. Callie is waiting for your call. She would love to be a part of
your family.
2/23/07 - Getting to know this girl has really been fun. This is my first young foster and although the
puppy look is gone her antics have not. Walking her reminds me just what a puppy she is. She is so
darn cute. Curious about everything and every noise. She actually thinks she can play with the crows
that fly by. She needs to investigate every little thing that we come across on our walks. She hops,
jumps, sniffs and really enjoys being outside. The great thing is snow, rain, or sunshine Callie will love
to go for a walk with you. If you are looking for a young baby but not have to go through the
housebreaking ordeal then this is the girl for you. You will have years and years of love from her.
Want to know more, give me a call.
2/22/07 - Callie asked me to write to you all to tell you that her pictures do not do her justice. She is
begging me to take better ones which I will try and capture just how beautiful she is. Maybe if the sun
comes out we can get some outdoor pictures that will show you her nice white coloring against the
softest fawn coat.
2/21/07 Callie had a few trying first few days here. Asided from being a little confused her whole
routine was throwen out of whack, but today I think she finally figured it out. She came from a home
that had a fenced in yard and she enjoyed being let out to roam and do her business. Here
She has to be walked and could not figure out that that was the time. Today she learned and finally did
everything needed to be done on the walk. I was so proud of her. A really fast learner. I know she will
pick up on your scehdule as well. Just give her a few days and she will fit right in. She is not crazy
about the crate and really does not need to be crated. She sleeps in my room with me at night and not
a peep out of her until you are ready to get up. Today she was left alone for five hours and not one
problem when I came home. This is one beautiful boxer. I think the perfect size. Not to big and not to
small.
2/14/07 - Cali will be coming into Rescue this weekend. She is a petit young girl who is being
surrender because she needs to be the only dog in the home. She is the sweetest girl except does not
get along with other dogs when they are in her face. On leash she is fine, but will not be able to attend
doggie daycare or go to a dog park. She is coming from a very loving family that is extremely upset
that Cali could not settle in with their senior dog. Once she gets here this weekend I will post some
pictures so you can meet this lovable girl. Oh, I forgot to tell you, she is trained to ring a bell when she
needs to go out. How cute is that. Remember to keep checking back to see the latest updates on her.
