UPDATE 12/7/07 - Well it's been 10 months now since we adopted Brueschi and I have been enjoying
this handsome dog every day! He is such a character! Our family loves him very much and I know he
loves us too. We couldn't have been a better match. I'm so glad I had this opportunity to adopt him.
He has filled some major gaps in my life after losing my Samson to cancer almost 2 years ago. Thank
you SCBR and Brueschi thanks you too for matching his forever home. He is safe & warm this holiday
season!
UPDATE 3/7/07 - Hello everyone!
Well, I'm very happy to say that Brueschi has adjusted to his new forever home. He is a wonderful
addition to our family. My son (6yrs) and Brueschi play every day and it's so funny because I feel like I
have 2 kids in the house, I have to yell at them both because I really think they try to get each other in
trouble! LOL!
Brueschi is very protective of his new family already and is very much protective of me. My husband
was joking around and went to grab my arm in front of Brueschi and he jumped up at my husband's arm
and grab it before he could touch me. He must have had some kind of training before...he's very eager
to please, but his begging for food is out of control. I think he was fed table food and every night at
dinner time he begs and acts like he has never eaten before (by the way, he does eat twice a day!!!! and
eats like he's going to the chair! LOL!) Anyways, we are working on his bad begging for food habit but
other than that he's great!
Brueschi loves to go for rides, wants to go everywhere with you but his car etiquette is horrible so we
continue to work on that as well.
Brueschi is very healthy and everyone at the vet's office says that he is the most beautiful boxer they
have seen in a long time! I think so too!
Brueschi loves to sleep with us thank goodness we have a king size bed! He sleeps straight through the
night and doesn't move once and he is such a cuddle bug! Right now he's trying to get on my lap as I sit
in an office chair and type away. He thinks he's 7 pounds instead of 70 pounds!!! I know you all know
what I mean too! LOL!
I'll update more next month.
2/3/07 - Brueschi has been adopted!
1/23/07 - Brueschi is a sweet, adorable boy. He got to play with the boxer I dog sat for over the
weekend and I'm telling you they played non stop from Saturday morning until Monday morning.
Brueschi likes to be with you and around the family. He does get very excited and because of his size, I
would recommend no homes with children under 4. He is fully house trained and will go in his crate.
He is a little stressed right now with all the changes so we will give him a few days to settle in, unless you
think this boy is who you have been waiting for! I will try and get pictures up tonight.
1/21/07 - Hi everybody, Bruschi is now with Gina. No pictures from us, but an absolutely handsome,
regal boy of about 70 pounds.
His owner gave us a lot of information, offered his home number to Gina and whomever adopts him. He
really cared about this dog, but said since he took a new job requiring a lot more hours, he could not
devote any time to Bruschi. He will fax me his medical records on Monday, and I will get them to Gina.
We had no problems finding the place, but laughed a lot trying to find our way out of Mt. Vernon.
Fortunately, my friend who gave us the directions, was available to guide us out after we drove around
awhile.
It's always a great day when you can help one of these animals! The person who adopts this boy is
going to be very lucky. Roz and Dick
