BAXTER
**NOTE: Because I love little kids so much, I will only be placed in a home WITH kids under 4.**

UPDATE 1/6/08 -   Baxter is great.  He is such a sweetheart.  Doing better with separation anxiety,
accidents are fewer and far between.  He and Kitty are getting friendlier everyday.  We love him.

UPDATE 11/13/07 - Baxter is a sweetie.  He needs to be touching you at all times.  He enjoys running
in the field behind our house and chasing his soccer ball.  We went to the vet and got his Lyme update.
We are also working on putting some more weight on him, the vet said he was too thin.  He is having
some house-breaking problems, so we are using the crate, and may need to use it overnight.  He is such
a good boy.

UPDATE 10/14/07 - We are in love with Baxter!  He is such a love.  He just wants to be with his
people.  He got into our car, licked Delaney (our 2 year old daughter) until she woke up, and then
curled up and went to sleep.  He was great the whole way back to Connecticut.  He is great on the
leash, obeys "sit" and is so gentle.  He just wants to be as close as possible to us.  Our Kitty doesn't
know what to make of him just yet.  She's swatted and hissed, but Baxter just wants to lick her and say
hello.
He is great with Delaney.  Crated him while we went to go see "Sesame Street Live" and Baxter was a
little anxious.  When we got back home a few hours later, he had wet his crate, so hopefully that is just
settling in.  He has already met 3 of our extended family dogs and everyone was well-behaved.  It was
great.  We all went for a long hike.  All the other dogs were exhausted, but Baxter still had energy for
checking out more of his surroundings.
Looking forward to getting into a routine with him and making him more comfortable.  We love him.
What a great boy.

10/10/07 - Baxter is doing great, settling in fine. He loves everyone and thinks he's a lap dog. We go
for long walks but he doesn't seem very puppy like yet he does have lots of energy.  The cat doesn't
like him but he likes her lots she thinks that he is going to chase her like our old boxer did ,but he
doesn't. Tomorrow he will be updated on all his shots.

I love my foster mom and sister I follow her everywhere! I sleep on the couch (the dog one) and
sometimes if I'm lucky I get to sleep on my foster's couch with them.  The first thing I did or more like
what they did to me was give me a bath. They thought I was stinky but I thought I smelled pretty good.
I refused to get in the warm tub so instead they took me outside and just when I thought I got away
with it the hose came on.!! I got a cold bath outside ,but got warmed up inside.

10/6/07 - Baxter arrived today as an owner surrender.  He lived with a 17 month old baby and a 6 yr
old boxer and got along great with everyone and let the baby crawl on him & loved the baby too.  His
family found out they are due to have another baby and just do not feel Baxter is getting or will be
getting enough attention.

Baxter is a 2 year old beautiful reversed brindle boy with natural ears and a docked tail.  He is not very
big, probably about 55 lbs. He is neutered and will just need to get his shots and heartworm test done,
hopefully this week, so he can go home soon.  More updates soon on this handsome, sweet boy!  He
will not be around long!!! :)
