12/18/06 - Just wanted to let everyone know that Zoey continues to do well. She is such a sweet dog
that just loves people. We have encountered that she does not like our senior female dog at all, so we
are keeping them separated. She has no problem with our male dog they play just fine with each other,
she tends to want to make sure she is the boss, but nothing like she is with our senior, so a house with a
male dog or a only dog is probably what she is looking for. All in all she is a great dog that would love
a new home for Christmas. She has shown no issues that she had prior with the urinary tract problems
and she is completely house broken....take this gem home for the holidays!!!!!!
12/1/06 - I just wanted to let everyone know that i have settled in just fine at my foster home, but my
foster mom keeps telling me that i will get to go to my forever home soon enough. She also tells me i
do just fine with the kids, sometimes she tells me i get too excited but i never knock them over or hurt
them. I have meet a few dogs and i just want to play with them all. Well i have to get back to my
bone, oh ya i get one of those at night and i just love them! I am a good girl though i never chew
anything that i am not suppose to and i don't have any accidents in the house. I will let you know how i
am doing again soon!
11/27/06 - Zoey had a very good thanksgiving, she was a very well behaved girl while company was
here. She did fine with a large group of people in the house, did not make her nervous at all. She still
tends to bark at men that talk to her when they walk into a room, but is doing better with it. If the men
just ignore her she is fine, but we are still working on it. She has enjoyed playing in the yard the past
couple of days. She has adjusted very well! She pulls a little on a leash, but if you tell her easy she
takes it easy. She knows the basic commands (sit, down, stay and come) and does very well with
them. She is very much a people person, she has to be where ever you are. (She has to come in the
bathroom with me when i Shower) or she sits outside the door and whimpers....(which i have to say is
so cute) she is just a great girl. She has had no accidents since the second day here, she will let you
know when she needs to go out. Well i could keep going on and on she is just a great dog. If you are
looking for a dog that will be very much a part of your family's everyday routine Zoey could be the dog
for you!!!!!
11/24/06 - Zoey's prior home said she had frequent urinary tract infections and was on medicine each
time to clear them up. They recently took her to the vets again for x-rays and more testing to see if she
had stones. They found a stricture (narrowing of the passageway) and the vet dilated her and said it
needs to be redone in a month. Her new home needs to be aware of this & to keep up with their vet
on it.
11/21/06 - I just dont know where to start, she is such an excellant dog. I have been sick, (had to have
3 wisdom teeth pulled) and she has been right by my side the entire time. She will make someone and
excellant companion. She just loves to be with people. I was unsure at first how she would do with my
kids, becasue she had never been around kids, let alone litttle ones. She is excellant with them, i make
sure i am always there to watch just in case, but she just loves to wake my daughter up in the morning
with kisses. She is very active, but settles right down. She listens great, you tell her no once and that is
all that is needed. She has loved running out in the fence, but i am hoping to be feeling better today to
get her out and see how she does on a leash. If you are looking for a dog that will follow you
everywhere and love you with boxer kisses and wiggles she could be the dog for you, she has a great
personality. Still a little timid of men but as
long as they just let her go to them she does fine. I just cant say enough good about this little love bug !
Will update again later.
11/19/06 - Zoey has arrived. She is doing great, she is a beautiful active girl, but she settled right down
for the two hour car ride home. She so far has loved running in the fenced in yard. She was very timid
of the kids at first but already has warmed up to them and has been plaing very well with them. Men she
seems a bit timid of but i am sure she will warm up just fine. We will update again when she has a
chance to settle in and we get to know her.
